Bath resealing in St Arvans without replacing anything

Preparation is everything in a reseal: old silicone removed, mould treated, the joint cleaned and dried. Then the fresh sealant goes on, in a neat, continuous bead. Whether it’s silicone coming away from the tiles and silicone smeared on tiles, we can help, on baths, wet rooms and shower trays & enclosures alike.

A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover.

Why reseal now?

Resealing is routine maintenance. Putting off a reseal can let water reach the walls and floor, which costs far more to put right. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not your postcode. You will see the full price before you book, with nothing added on the day.

Why us?

  • Normally one visit, start to finish
  • Straight answers about what a repair can do
  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK

Repairs by material

Sinks and worktops

Basins, vanity units and kitchen worktops are resealed too, with the joint fully dried first.

Shower trays

Trays are sealed with weight on them, so the joint is at its widest.

DIY kit or professional repair?

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.

Common questions in St Arvans

Can new silicone go over old?

All the old sealant comes out. New silicone will not bond to old.

How do I stop mould in sealant?

Damp is the cause. Ventilation and drying keep it clean longer.

Is there any odour?

It depends on the job, but often a little. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum.

What do you need from me?

Send photos through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Just ensure the landlord agrees.

Are you accredited?

We are accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.

How long will it take?

Most reseals take about two hours. Leave it to cure before use.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit typically costs less than separate visits. Include photos of each item.

Work for landlords and builders

Letting agents often send us photos straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

What happens on the day

We agree an arrival time beforehand, so you know when to expect us. On site, it takes a couple of hours. We leave the room clean and ready to use once it has cured.

  1. All the old sealant is cut out and removed.
  2. Next we clean the joint and deal with mould.
  3. We ensure the joint is completely dry.
  4. For a bath, we fill it with water first so the joint is at its widest.
  5. New mould-resistant silicone goes on and is tooled to a neat finish, taps included.

Preparing for the visit

  • Open a window if you can
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Let us know about parking or access

How to get a price

How we price bath resealing

You’ll know the full cost before booking. We look at:

  • The type of damage
  • Access to the area
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • The material and finish

Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

How to get a fixed price

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:

  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • The material, if you know it
  • A photo taken from further back

You do not need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.
