What we can’t put right

We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair won’t do:

  • Hollow or loose tiles
  • Water damage behind the bath that needs a builder
  • Very wide gaps that need a trim

If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think before booking.

What we work on

  • Wet rooms
  • Baths
  • Basins & vanity units
  • Shower trays & enclosures
  • Kitchen worktops & sinks

Bath resealing in St Asaph without replacing anything

A reseal is a small job that makes a big difference. Clean, white joints make a bathroom look cared for, and they protect the walls and floor. If you’re dealing with water getting behind the bath or tray and gaps in the seal, we can usually put it right.

Big or small, you get the same one-year guarantee.

When to call us in St Asaph

A bathroom without good ventilation is hard on sealant: moisture sits on the joints longer, and mould takes hold.

These are the problems we’re asked about most:

  • Missing sealant behind the taps
  • Old sealant that looks dirty
  • Sealant that’s split or lifting
  • A messy previous reseal

What bath resealing costs

Every quote is fixed and free. What we look at:

  • The colour and finish to match
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • The material

The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before you book, with no extras added later.

Send photos for a quote

You can typically get a fixed quote without us visiting. To help us price it:

  • One picture of the whole bath or shower
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the entire bath or shower, add your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.

St Asaph questions

Do I have to be there?

Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time we agree with you.

How long will it take?

Usually a couple of hours, plus curing time.

What happens next?

You get a fixed quote and available dates. If anything’s unclear, we will ask for another photo.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit usually costs less than separate visits. Include photos of each item.

Are you accredited?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

Can pets and children be at home?

Just keep them out of the work area. We’ll tell you when the room can be used again.

Are there extra charges for St Asaph?

No. Our quotes include travel, and we charge the same wherever you are.

Is a repair better than a new one?

In most cases, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.

Looking after it afterwards

Aftercare is simple, and it makes a real difference:

  • Clean the joints with a mild cleaner
  • Air the room after use
  • Keep the joints dry
  • Ventilate the bathroom well

Use the extractor fan, dry the joints after bathing, and give them a regular clean with a mild cleaner to slow mould growth.

If you notice damp, stains on the ceiling below or loose tiles, act quickly. It may be more than a reseal, so we’ll tell you if it needs a builder or plumber.

Different materials, different repairs

Sinks and worktops

Basins, vanity units and kitchen worktops are resealed too, with the joint fully dried first.

Baths

We fill the bath before sealing, to open the joint fully.

Why it’s worth resealing in St Asaph

Compared with repairing water damage, resealing is cheap. It’s quick, tidy and protects your home. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it.

Why St Asaph customers choose us

How it works

We agree an arrival time beforehand, so you are not left guessing. Once we’re there, the work takes around two hours in most cases. The room is left tidy and you’ll know when it can be used.

  1. We protect the area and mask the joint lines.
  2. Old sealant and residue are removed.
  3. The joint is cleaned, treated and dried.
  4. We run a continuous bead of new silicone.
  5. We smooth the bead, remove the tape and leave it to cure.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift

The quickest way to a price is to send two or three pictures using our quote form or ring us. We’ll tell you honestly whether it can be repaired.

Advice

Can I fix it myself?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is typically the cheaper route.
