Bath & shower resealing (mastic) in Sunnymeads, Surrey
We travel to Sunnymeads for bath, shower and sink resealing with new mould-resistant silicone. Nothing is taken out, and the work is guaranteed.
- Stained silicone
- Silicone coming away from the tiles
- Missing sealant behind the taps

Looking after it afterwards
A little care keeps the finish looking good. We recommend:
- Give the seal a regular clean
- Reseal at the first sign of lifting
- Store bottles on a shelf
- Air the room after use
Use the extractor fan, wipe the joints dry after use, and clean them regularly with a mild cleaner to slow mould growth.
If you notice damp, stains on the ceiling below or loose tiles, act quickly. It may be more than a reseal, and we will say if you need a builder or plumber.
About our bath resealing in Sunnymeads
A good reseal is all about preparation: every bit of old silicone out, mould treated, the joint clean and dry. Only then does the new sealant go on, in a neat, continuous bead. If you’re dealing with silicone coming away from the tiles and mould you can’t clean out, we can help.
We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you’re not left on your own once we have gone.

Why it’s worth resealing in Sunnymeads
Putting new silicone over old doesn’t last. It peels within weeks, and traps mould underneath. We remove the old sealant completely. The price depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed quote from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.
Why Sunnymeads customers choose us
- CHAS and Constructionline accredited
- Most jobs done in one visit
- Same prices wherever you are
- We leave the room as we found it

Can I fix it myself?
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
Sunnymeads questions
What happens if you find more damage?
If we find something the photos didn’t show, we explain it first. You decide whether to go ahead.
Do you come to Sunnymeads?
Yes, we do. We send a technician to Sunnymeads for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.
What does bath resealing cost?
Because every job differs, we price from photos. You know the full cost before anything is booked.
Is my repair covered?
Yes: twelve months. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.
What happens once I’ve sent photos?
We look at the pictures and reply with a fixed price and some dates. If anything’s unclear, we will ask for another photo.
Can new silicone go over old?
Never over old. The old sealant is cut out and the joint cleaned and dried.
Does someone need to be in?
Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. After that, you can carry on with your day.
Is there any odour?
A little, depending on the job. Open windows and an extractor fan help, and it soon fades.

Repairs by material
Sinks and worktops
We reseal basins, vanity tops and kitchen worktops, with the joint fully dried first.
Shower trays
We put weight on a tray before sealing it, so the joint is at its widest.
What we do, step by step
Here’s how a visit normally runs: we arrive at the agreed slot, protect everything around the work area, carry out the work and tidy away. Allow around two hours. Before we go, we will explain how long to leave it and how to care for it.
- We protect the area and mask the joint lines.
- Old sealant and residue are removed.
- We clean, treat and dry the joint.
- We run a continuous bead of new silicone.
- We smooth the bead, remove the tape and leave it to cure.
How to prepare
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings

What we can’t put right
A repair isn’t always the answer, and we’d rather say so up front. We cannot fix:
- A bath or tray that moves, until its support is fixed
- Rotten walls or floors behind the bath
- Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.
Materials we repair
- Basins & vanity units
- Baths
- Shower trays & enclosures
- Wet rooms
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
Do you need bath resealing in Sunnymeads?
Black mould is the most common reason people reseal. It grows into the silicone, so cleaning only removes the surface.
You may need us if you’ve spotted:
- A messy previous reseal
- Stained silicone
- Sealant that is split or lifting
- Gaps by the taps
Before booking anyone
- How changes to the job are handled
- Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?
- How your room will be protected
- Whether there are any call-out or travel charges
What affects the price in Sunnymeads
You will not pay by the hour. The price depends on:
- Doing more than one item at once
- How easy the damage is to reach
- How hard the colour is to match
- How much damage there is
There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
How to get a fixed quote
We price nearly every job from photos. This is what we need:
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- Any details about the material
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
There is no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price.
