Bath resealing in Talyclun without replacing anything
All of the old sealant is cut out, treat any mould, and reseal with new mould-resistant silicone. We do this for baths, showers, sinks and worktops, including the awkward bits behind the taps. Our repair technicians work on kitchen worktops & sinks, shower trays & enclosures and wet rooms, and people most often call us about leaks at the edges and black spots in the silicone.
Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee.

Work for landlords and builders
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in Carmarthenshire and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.
We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, fixing chips and scratches before handover so nothing needs replacing. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.

What affects the price in Talyclun
We price every job individually. What matters most is:
- The colour and finish to match
- How much damage there is
- The type of damage
- The material
The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. You’ll see the full price before you book, with no extras added later.
Send pictures for a quote
We price nearly every job from photos. This is what we need:
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- Something in shot to show the size
- One picture of the entire bath or shower
Most clients in Talyclun get their price from photos. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will send back a fixed quote and some dates.
When we would advise against a repair
Some jobs aren’t right for a repair, for example:
- A bath or tray that moves, until its support is fixed
- Very wide gaps that need a trim
- Hollow or loose tiles

Questions from Talyclun
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
We do, regularly. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.
What do you need from me?
Some photos, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, access to the room.
Why does my sealant keep going mouldy?
Typically poor ventilation and moisture sitting on the joint. We use mould-resistant silicone, and ventilation helps it last.
Is my repair covered?
Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.
Can you reseal over the old silicone?
Never over old. It’s removed, cleaned off and the joint dried first.
My seal keeps tearing. Why?
Movement is the usual cause, or it was sealed with the bath empty. We seal baths full of water.
Will you leave a mess?
No. The work area is masked and covered, and we take our waste away with us.
Are you a vetted contractor?
Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.
DIY repairs versus a professional job
What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is normally the cheaper route.
Resealing in Talyclun: why it matters
Resealing is routine maintenance. Putting off a reseal can let water reach the walls and floor, which costs far more to put right. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
What you get with us
- We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing

How it works
We turn up at the time we agreed with you and checks the damage against your photos first. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before any work starts. Most visits take about two hours for a bath, and we leave the room as we found it.
- The surrounding area is protected and the joints masked.
- Old sealant and residue are removed.
- The joint is cleaned, treated and dried.
- Fresh silicone is applied in a continuous bead.
- We smooth the bead, remove the tape and leave it to cure.
How to prepare
- Clear the area around the damage
- Point us to the nearest place to park
- Have a window or extractor fan available
Ask for a price
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath or shower, add your postcode and send them over. You will get a fixed quote, not an estimate.

How to care for the repair
Looking after the surface is easy:
- Ventilate the bathroom well
- Open a window after bathing
- Reseal when black spots won’t clean off
- Wipe the joints dry after use
Use the extractor fan, dry the joints after bathing, and clean them regularly with a mild cleaner to slow mould growth.
If you notice damp, stains on the ceiling below or loose tiles, act quickly. It may be more than a reseal, so we will tell you if it needs a builder or plumber.
