Bath resealing in Tregorrick without replacing anything
We cut out all of the old sealant, treat any mould, and apply fresh mould-resistant silicone. We do this for baths, showers, sinks and worktops, and that includes the awkward spots behind the taps. If you’re dealing with damp near the bath and stained silicone, we can generally put it right.
We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee.

Why it’s worth resealing in Tregorrick
A reseal is one of the cheapest bathroom jobs there is and protects the walls and floor. Failed sealant can lead to water damage that is much more expensive. The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. The full price is agreed before booking.

Questions from Tregorrick
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Yes, regularly. Removing the old work can add time, and that’s in the quote.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit generally costs less than separate visits. Include pictures of each item.
Is there a guarantee?
Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee. We will explain what it covers when we quote.
Why does mould come back so fast?
Mostly moisture and poor ventilation. Mould-resistant silicone and good ventilation help.
How long does resealing take?
Usually a couple of hours, plus curing time.
How soon can you come?
That depends on our diary for your area. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.
Are you accredited?
Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.
Do you charge for travel?
There is no separate call-out charge. Your fixed price includes everything.
What we do, step by step
We agree an arrival time beforehand, so you’re not left guessing. On site, it takes a couple of hours for most jobs. We leave the room clean and ready to use once it has cured.
- First we strip out every bit of the old mastic.
- Next we clean the joint and deal with mould.
- We dry the joint thoroughly.
- Baths are filled with water first, so the joint is at its widest.
- New mould-resistant silicone goes on and is tooled to a neat finish, taps included.
Preparing for the visit
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
- Clear the area around the damage
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
How to get a price
Upload photos of the damage and one of the whole item, with your PL26 postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote.
Advice
Work for landlords and builders
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which is easier on the people living there.
Hospitality businesses can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We will fit around changeovers where we can.
Aftercare tips
It’s all simple stuff, just a few sensible habits:
- Use the extractor fan
- Dry the seal after bathing
- Let steam out after showers
- Give the seal a regular clean
Do not scrape the sealant with anything sharp, and keep shampoo bottles off the joints.
If you notice damp, stains on the ceiling below or loose tiles, act quickly. There may be more going on, and we’ll say if you need a builder or plumber.
DIY repairs versus a professional job
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is generally the cheaper route.
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.
