About our bath resealing in Well
A fresh seal protects your bathroom. Failed sealant lets water get where it shouldn’t, and resealing puts a stop to that. Typical jobs include gaps by the taps and stained silicone, in kitchen worktops & sinks, basins & vanity units and shower trays & enclosures.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. Just call us if there is a problem and we will come back.

Common questions in Well
What areas do you cover?
All of North Yorkshire, and the rest of the UK. Travel is included in the price.
Why does mould come back so fast?
Mould needs moisture. Run the fan, dry the joints and the new seal stays cleaner for longer.
Can you quote from pictures?
Yes, almost always. Clear pictures let us give you a fixed quote without visiting.
How long does silicone take to cure?
We’ll give you the curing time.
Is it safe with children and pets around?
On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include photos of each item.
When can you do it?
Your quote comes with available dates. Tell us if you need it done quickly.
Do you hold any accreditations?
We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.
Why reseal now?
A reseal is one of the cheapest bathroom jobs there is, and it protects everything around the bath. Failed sealant can lead to water damage that is much more expensive. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not your postcode. You will see the full price before you book, with nothing added on the day.
Why book with us
- Nothing taken out or refitted
- Dust sheets down, tidy finish
- Same prices wherever you are
- Work done at your home or business

DIY repairs versus a professional job
For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
Keeping it looking good
A little care keeps the finish looking good. We recommend:
- Don’t stand toiletries on the seal
- Air the room after use
- Clean the sealant gently and regularly
- Replace the seal when mould sets in
Run the extractor fan, wipe the joints dry after use, and give them a regular clean with a mild cleaner to slow mould growth.
Damp below or loose tiles need checking quickly. It may be more than a reseal, and we will say if you need a builder or plumber.
When a repair is not the answer
Some jobs are not right for a repair, for example:
- Hidden water damage
- Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
- Gaps so wide they need filling or trims before sealing
Send us photos and we will tell you honestly before booking.
Surfaces we repair
- Shower trays & enclosures
- Wet rooms
- Baths
- Basins & vanity units
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
The process
Here’s how a visit typically runs: we arrive on time, protect everything around the work area, carry out the work and clear up. Plan for around two hours from start to finish. Before we go, we will explain when it can be used and what to avoid for the first few days.
- We protect the area and mask the joint lines.
- We remove the old sealant and every trace of residue.
- We clean, treat and dry the joint.
- We run a continuous bead of new silicone.
- The bead is smoothed, the tape removed and the seal left to cure.
How to prepare
- Let us know about parking or access
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
- Open a window if you can

Landlord and trade work in Well
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.
