Bath & shower resealing (mastic) in West End, Cambridgeshire
Local bath resealing for West End: a fixed quote from pictures, a tidy visit and a one-year guarantee.
- Silicone coming away from the tiles
- Unsealed corners
- Leaks at the edges

Bath resealing at your home in West End
A proper reseal starts with removing every trace of the old silicone. Fresh sealant doesn’t stick to old, which is why many DIY jobs peel. Whether it’s missing sealant behind the taps and silicone coming away from the tiles, we can usually put it right, whatever the material.
A one-year guarantee comes as standard.

When we would advise against a repair
A repair isn’t always the answer, and we’ll tell you before we start. We can’t fix:
- Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
- Water damage behind the bath that needs a builder
- Very wide gaps that need a trim
Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.
Surfaces we repair
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
- Basins & vanity units
- Wet rooms
- Baths
- Shower trays & enclosures
Is resealing worth it?
Putting new silicone over old doesn’t last. It soon peels, and traps mould underneath. We remove the old sealant completely. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed price from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.

Landlords, agents and businesses in West End
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

When to call us in West End
Sealant doesn’t last forever. Each shower leaves moisture and soap behind, which mould feeds on, and the joint flexes each time the bath fills.
The most common problems we are called about are:
- An untidy old seal
- Sealant that is split or lifting
- Black mould in the sealant
- Discoloured, yellow sealant
Comparing quotes

How we price bath resealing
There is no area surcharge for West End. The price reflects:
- The size and number of damaged areas
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
Getting a price from photos
Most quotes are done from pictures alone. To help us price it:
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- A picture taken from further back
- Something in shot to show the size
Email us a photo of the damage and one of the whole item, and tell us you are in West End, and we will come back with a fixed quote.
Can I fix it myself?
For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is normally the cheaper route.
What your bath or shower is made of matters
Sinks and worktops
Basins, vanity units and kitchen worktops are resealed too, with the joint fully dried first.
Baths
Baths are resealed with water in them, to open the joint fully.
