Bath resealing in West End

Why reseal now?

Sealing over old silicone is a false economy. It soon peels, and mould stays trapped behind it. A proper reseal removes the old first. Set against the cost of replacement, repairing typically costs far less, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

Why book with us

  • No extra charge for your area
  • Nothing taken out or refitted
  • Free fixed quotes from pictures
  • Rooms protected and left tidy

About our bath resealing in West End

Resealing is quick, but it transforms the look. Clean, white joints make a bathroom look cared for, and they protect the walls and floor. Our technicians work on baths, wet rooms and basins & vanity units, and people most often call us about a messy previous reseal and old sealant that looks dirty.

You are covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we explain what it covers before you book.

How we price bath resealing

We don’t charge extra for travel to West End. The price comes down to:

  • How many items we do on one visit
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it

We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Getting a price from pictures

Photographing the damage takes a minute, and it saves a visit. Try to send:

  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • Any details about the material
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit

The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of pictures using our quote form or call us. We’ll say straight away whether it can be repaired.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is normally the cheaper route.

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

For landlords and businesses

If you manage property in West End, we’ll quote for several properties at once. Just send pictures for each address and we’ll come back with a combined price.

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Send the address, photos and access details and we will handle the rest.

What your bath or shower is made of matters

Shower trays

Trays are sealed with weight on them, for the same reason.

Baths

We fill the bath before sealing, so the joint is at its widest.

West End questions

Are you a vetted contractor?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

What do you need from me?

Photos of the damage, a picture of the entire bath or shower and your postcode. Then we’ll agree a date.

How long does a reseal take?

Generally a couple of hours, plus curing time.

Can you repair something that’s been repaired before?

Generally, yes. The old repair comes out first, so mention it when you send pictures.

How long before I can shower?

Typically after around 24 hours. We confirm before we leave.

Can you quote from pictures?

In nearly every case. If pictures do not show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.

My seal keeps tearing. Why?

Movement is the usual cause, or it was sealed with the bath empty. We seal baths full of water.

Is the work guaranteed?

Yes, for a year. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

What we are called out for in West End

Sealant does not last forever. Every bath or shower adds moisture and soap residue, which mould loves, and the joint moves slightly every time the bath is filled.

Clients generally contact us about:

  • Gaps in the seal
  • Water getting behind the bath or tray
  • An untidy old seal
  • Old sealant that looks dirty

10 questions to ask before booking

When a repair isn’t the answer

We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair will not do:

  • Water damage behind the bath that needs a builder
  • Very wide gaps that need a trim
  • Hollow or loose tiles

Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.

What we work on

  • Shower trays & enclosures
  • Wet rooms
  • Baths
  • Basins & vanity units
  • Kitchen worktops & sinks

What happens on the day

From the moment we arrive, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the job takes a couple of hours, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.

  1. The old silicone is cut out completely.
  2. Residue is removed and the joint cleaned.
  3. Any mould is treated and the joint dried.
  4. We fill the bath, or weight the tray, to open the joint.
  5. New mould-resistant silicone is applied and tooled neatly.

Before we arrive

  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
  • Ensure the room can be ventilated
  • Clear the area around the damage

Getting a price

You don’t need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.
