Can I fix it myself?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair won’t last.

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.

Coloured bath resurfacing in Blackford, done in place

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. Whether it’s a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and faded or patchy colour, we can usually put it right, whatever the material.

All our work is covered by our one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Perth and Kinross. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Resurfacing from £350. You’ll know the full cost before you book. We take into account:

  • What kind of damage it is
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • Access to the area
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first

There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Quotes from your pictures

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage, and it saves a visit. Try to send:

  • Natural light rather than flash
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • A picture taken from further back

You don’t need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. A repair usually costs much less than people expect, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Send pictures and we’ll give you the exact figure.

Why book with us

  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK
  • Most jobs done in one visit
  • Colour mixed on the day to match
  • A fixed quote before booking

What we do, step by step

We turn up when we said we would and checks the damage against your photos first. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before we open a single tin. The work itself takes a day or two, depending on how many items, and the room is left clean and tidy.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Each item is left to cure, generally ready the following day.

How to prepare

  • Ensure the room can be ventilated
  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible

Ask for a price

Send us pictures of the damage and one of the whole item, with your PH4 postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote.

Advice

When a repair isn’t the answer

A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before booking.

What we work on

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays

Landlord and trade work in Blackford

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in Perth and Kinross and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

What we’re called out for in Blackford

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.

These are the problems we are asked about most:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour

What your quote should include

  • How long it needs to cure
  • What preparation is included
  • What the guarantee covers, and for how long
  • Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?

Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.

Will the price change on the day?
