How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Resurfacing from £350. We price every job individually. What matters most is:

  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • The material
  • Whether we combine several jobs

Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Send photos for a quote

We price nearly every job from photos. This is what we need:

  • Details of any past repairs
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Any details about the material
  • Something in shot to show the size

Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them over with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price. Quotes are free and no obligation.

Coloured bath resurfacing in Blackpool, done in place

Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. Whether it’s faded or patchy colour and selling or letting a home with an old suite, we can help, whatever the material.

The work is covered for a year after we finish. Just call us if there is a problem and we’ll come back. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

How the visit works

Here’s how a visit generally runs: we arrive at the agreed slot, protect everything around the work area, carry out the work and clear up. Plan for one to two days for a full suite from start to finish. Before we go, we will explain when it can be used and how to care for it.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

How to prepare

  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Ensure the area is dry
  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area

Before booking, it’s worth knowing the limits:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.

  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Whole bathroom suites

Repairing versus replacing in Blackpool

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. The price depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed price from your pictures, so you know the cost before booking.

Why Blackpool customers choose us

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Blackpool?

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s normally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Most people get in touch when they notice one of these:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom

Before you book anyone

  • How your room will be protected
  • What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show
  • What the guarantee covers, and for how long
  • Whether they match the colour on site

10 questions to ask before booking

Should I try a DIY kit first?

What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

Blackpool questions

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as homeowners in Blackpool.

Are you accredited?

We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

In most cases, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. We will be honest if it’s not worth it.

Do I have to be there?

Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. After that, you can carry on with your day.

Which areas do you work in?

We work UK-wide. Prices do not change with location.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Most of the time. Tell us what was done before and we’ll plan for it.

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit. The rest of the house is unaffected.

Work for landlords and builders

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, putting right damage done during fitting. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.
