Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Bridgefoot

A full suite is usually done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. If you are dealing with a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and selling or letting a home with an old suite, we can typically put it right.

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If something isn’t right in that time, we come back and put it right. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

What we can’t put right

Some jobs aren’t right for a repair, including:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.

What we work on

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays

Bridgefoot: your questions answered

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Normally, if the item is otherwise sound. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.

Do the materials smell?

A little, depending on the job. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum.

What happens after I send photos?

We look at the photos and reply with a fixed quote and some dates. If we need another angle, we’ll ask.

Will the price change on the day?

It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. You decide whether to go ahead.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

Of course. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Yes, regularly. It can add a little time, which we include in the quote.

How quickly can you book me in?

Your quote comes with available dates. If it’s urgent, say so and we will do what we can.

Will it make a mess?

We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and we clean up when we’ve finished.

Landlord and trade work in Bridgefoot

Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. Several plots can be done in one visit.

Hospitality businesses can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is normally cheaper.

What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, and the work is guaranteed.

What we are called out for in Bridgefoot

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is generally the colour, not the bath.

Contact us if you’ve noticed:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

What your quote should include

  • How to look after the finish
  • How the colour is matched
  • Who will actually do the work
  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers

How to compare quotes

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Prices start from £350. There’s no area surcharge for Bridgefoot. What changes the price is:

  • What kind of damage it is
  • How many areas need work
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • Access to the area

No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Quotes from your photos

When you take your pictures, these tips help us give you a firm price:

  • One picture of the entire suite
  • Any details about the material
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus

Upload pictures of the damage and one of the entire item, with your DD3 postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.

What we do, step by step

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. We bring everything we need with us, put protection down and get going once we’ve agreed what we are doing. Most jobs take one to two days for a full suite, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

Preparing for the visit

  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day

Getting a price

For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

Advice

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
