The process

Expect a friendly, tidy visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, cover and mask the work area, then carry out the work, which normally takes a day or two, depending on how many items. If we find something your photos didn’t show, we’ll explain it before carrying on.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

How to prepare

  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Let us know about parking or access

Ask for a price

We price from pictures so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through.

Coloured bath resurfacing in Budock Water without replacing anything

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. Our technicians work on coloured shower trays, coloured basins and whole bathroom suites, and common reasons people contact us are selling or letting a home with an old suite and faded or patchy colour.

We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you’re covered after the visit. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

Honest limits

Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair cannot fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think before you book.

Materials we repair

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Budock Water questions

Can landlords book you?

We do, regularly. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.

Can pets and children be at home?

Just keep them out of the work area. We will let you know when it’s safe to use again.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it is not worth repairing, we will tell you.

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes, and it’s frequently cheaper. Just add the extra items to your pictures and you will get one combined price.

What happens if you find more damage?

It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. The price only changes if you agree.

Can you price it without visiting?

Nearly always. If pictures do not show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.

Which areas do you work in?

The whole UK, including all of Cornwall. Send your postcode with your pictures and we’ll confirm dates.

Can you repair something that’s been repaired before?

Generally, yes. Let us know what was used before and we’ll plan for it.

For landlords and businesses

Letting agents frequently send us pictures straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

Hospitality businesses cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. There’s no charge for travel to Budock Water. The price comes down to:

  • The type of damage
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • Access to the area
  • Whether we combine several jobs

The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. You’ll see the full price before you book, with no extras added later.

Send photos for a quote

Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:

  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • A wider photo showing the entire suite

Most clients in Budock Water get their price from pictures. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we will send back a fixed quote and some dates.

What we are called out for in Budock Water

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.

Send us a picture if you notice any of these:

  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour

What to look for in a quote

  • Whether there are any call-out or travel charges
  • Aftercare advice
  • Who turns up on the day
  • Whether the colour is mixed to match
