About our coloured bath resurfacing in Trewen

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. Common call-outs are for a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and faded or patchy colour, on avocado, pampas and pink baths, whole bathroom suites and coloured basins.

All our work is covered by our one-year guarantee. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Common questions in Trewen

Will there be a smell?

Expect a mild smell while we’re working, which fades afterwards.

Can you price it without visiting?

Yes, almost always. Clear photos let us give you a fixed price without visiting.

Is there a guarantee?

Yes: twelve months. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

Can landlords book you?

Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses across Cornwall.

What happens if you find more damage?

It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. The price only changes if you agree.

Are you a vetted contractor?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

What about the toilet?

Ask us. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we will tell you what will last.

Can you repair something that is been repaired before?

Normally, yes. The old repair comes out first, so mention it when you send pictures.

What happens on the day

On the day, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. Expect it to take one to two days for a full suite. We clean up when we’re done and let you know when you can use it again.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Each item is left to cure, typically ready the following day.

Preparing for the visit

  • Ensure the area is dry
  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing turns it white with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send photos and you will get a fixed figure.

Why us?

  • Everything repaired in place
  • Fixed prices from your photos
  • Colour mixed on the day to match
  • Rooms protected and left tidy

Can I fix it myself?

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is generally the cheaper route.

For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.

When we’d advise against a repair

A repair is not always the answer, and we would rather say so up front. We cannot fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.

What we work on

  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays

For landlords and businesses

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Trewen as well as homeowners. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it generally costs far less than a refit.

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. There is no charge for travel to Trewen. The price comes down to:

  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • The type of damage
  • What the surface is made of
  • Whether we combine several jobs

Compared with replacing, a repair is usually a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.

How to get a fixed price

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Please include:

  • A wider photo showing the whole suite
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • Any details about the material
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit

Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole suite, we can price the job.

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Trewen?

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is generally the colour, not the bath.

Contact us if you’ve noticed:
