Coloured bath resurfacing in Cheapside without replacing anything

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. We regularly repair coloured shower trays, coloured basins and whole bathroom suites, and people most often call us about selling or letting a home with an old suite and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom.

You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Cheapside as everywhere else we work. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. There is no charge for travel to Cheapside. The price depends on:

  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • The material
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it

Compared with replacing, a repair is normally a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.

You can generally get a fixed price without us visiting. To make it quick:

  • The material, if you know it
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Where you are, by postcode

If you are in Cheapside and want a price, the easiest route is pictures: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it.

Why Cheapside customers choose us

  • No need to remove anything
  • Rooms protected and left tidy
  • Colour-matched on site
  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor

When we’d advise against a repair

To be straight with you, there are a few things a repair will not fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.

What we work on

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins

How the visit works

Arrival times are agreed in advance, so you know when to expect us. Once we’re there, the work takes one to two days for a full suite for most jobs. We leave the room clean and you will know when it can be used.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.

How to prepare

  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Point us to the nearest place to park

How to get a price

Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them to us with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price. Quotes are free and you are under no obligation.

Advice

Work for landlords and builders

Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets need rooms back in use quickly, so we keep visits short and tidy. We will fit around changeovers where we can.

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.

DIY kit or professional repair?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.

Questions from Cheapside

Will there be a smell?

Some materials have a smell while they’re applied. It clears as the materials cure.

Is it messy?

Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and tidy up before we leave.

How do I book?

Send photos through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787.

How quickly can you book me in?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.

What about the toilet?

Ask us. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we’ll tell you what will last.

Do I have to be there?

We need someone to let us in. You do not need to watch us work.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Just keep them out of the work area. We’ll let you know when it’s safe to use again.
