Bath Repair for Cheapside homes
Fixed-price bath repair in Cheapside and the surrounding area, done in a single visit in most cases and guaranteed for a year.
- Repairs from £95
- Chips under the taps
- Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted

What your bath is made of matters
Composite and resin
Composite baths are dense and solid, and often freestanding. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour-matched, just like other baths.
Cast iron
Cast iron is heavy and rigid, finished with fired enamel. A chip down to the iron can rust, but the bath itself lasts for generations, so it’s always worth repairing.
About our bath repair in Cheapside
Most bath damage, from chips and cracks to rust spots and holes, can be repaired with the bath left exactly where it is. Nothing is unplumbed, your tiles stay as they are, and the repaired area is colour matched so it blends in. Whether it’s deep scratches in acrylic and a chip where the taps sit, we can generally put it right.
Peace of mind is built in: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we explain what it covers before booking.

FAQs for Cheapside
Are you accredited?
We are accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we’re working in. We’ll let you know when it’s safe to use again.
Is my repair covered?
Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee. We will explain what it covers when we quote.
Can tenants book a repair?
We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Get your landlord’s agreement first.
Can you repair a chip on a coloured bath?
Yes, coloured baths are no problem. The colour is tinted by hand on the day.
Is a repair better than a new one?
Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it isn’t worth repairing, we will tell you.
How much does bath repair cost in Cheapside?
Repairs from £95. The exact price depends on the damage, so we quote from pictures. You know the full cost before anything is booked.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Most of the time. Tell us what was done before.
Why repair rather than replace?
Replacing a bath rarely stops at the bath: the tiles sitting on the rim tend to break, the panel may not fit the new one, and a plumber has to disconnect and reconnect everything. Repairing the damage avoids all of that. Our bath repair starts from £95. A repair generally costs much less than people expect, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

What bath repair costs
Prices start from £95. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we look at:
- The material
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- How hard the colour is to match
- How much damage there is
There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
Quotes from your pictures
You can usually get a fixed quote without us visiting. To help us price it:
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- The material, if you know it
- Natural light rather than flash
- Details of any past repairs
A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath, include your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.
How the visit works
Here’s how a visit generally runs: we arrive on time, sheet and mask the area around the job, carry out the work and clear up. Allow a morning or an afternoon. Before leaving, we tell you when it can be used and how to care for it.
- First, the area is cleaned and any loose enamel or rust is removed.
- Next we fill the damage and sand it smooth and level.
- We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
- Finish coats go on, then the repair is polished to blend in.
- Once it has cured, usually by the day after, the bath is ready to use.
Preparing for the visit
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Have a window or extractor fan available
- Let us know which floor the room is on
Ask for a price
Pricing is simple: snap the damage close up and then the whole item, send them to us with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed quote back. There’s no charge for the quote and you’re under no obligation.
Advice
Should I try a DIY kit first?
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.
Looking after it afterwards
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
- Don’t leave a fresh chip for long
- Don’t leave razors or cans standing in the bath
- Ensure an acrylic bath is firm underfoot
Don’t leave razors, cans or hair grips in the bath, as they can leave rust marks. A dripping tap should be fixed early, too.
Until we visit, a strip of waterproof tape over the damage helps, to keep water out. Remove it before the repair.
