Coloured bath resurfacing in Cove, done in place
A full suite is typically done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Our technicians work on coloured basins, coloured shower trays and avocado, pampas and pink baths, and the jobs we see most are a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white.
You are covered after we leave: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we’ll explain exactly what it covers when we quote. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Should you replace it?
Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. The full price is agreed before booking.
What you get with us
- Generally one visit, start to finish
- We leave the room as we found it
- Work done at your home or business
- Colour mixed on the day to match

How the visit works
It’s a tidy, low-fuss visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, protect the area, and get on with the job, which normally takes a day or two, depending on how many items. If anything looks different from your photos, we will talk to you before going ahead.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
- We leave everything to cure, usually until the day after.
Preparing for the visit
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Open a window if you can
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
How to get a price
Most customers in Cove get their price from pictures. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

What affects the price in Cove
Prices start from £350. We give every job a fixed price from photos. These are the things that affect it:
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- The material and finish
- Access to the area
- How hard the colour is to match
Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and doing several items at once reduces it.
Getting a price from pictures
We price nearly every job from pictures. This is what we need:
- Natural light rather than flash
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- What it’s made of, if you know
Upload a picture of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, and tell us you’re in Cove, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Cove?
Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is typically the colour, not the bath.

- Faded or patchy colour

Can I fix it myself?
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair will not last.
Work for landlords and builders
We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Cove as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it normally costs far less than a refit.
Hospitality businesses need rooms back in use quickly, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.
FAQs for Cove
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
Yes, regularly. Removing the old work can add time, and that’s in the quote.
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as householders.
Are you a vetted contractor?
We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.
What about the toilet?
Talk to us first. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we’ll tell you what will last.
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work and until it has cured. The rest of the house is unaffected.
Will the price change on the day?
If we find something the photos didn’t show, we explain it first. The price only changes if you agree.
How do I book?
Use the quote form or ring 0345 017 0787.
Is repairing better than replacing?
Generally, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. If it is not worth repairing, we’ll tell you.
What we can’t put right
In fairness, some problems need a different fix:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think.
