Coloured bath resurfacing in Deadwater

About our coloured bath resurfacing in Deadwater

Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. Our repair technicians work on coloured basins, coloured shower trays and whole bathroom suites, and common reasons people contact us are selling or letting a home with an old suite and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom.

A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you are covered after the visit. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Common problems we fix in Deadwater

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s typically the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Signs it’s time to call us include:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

10 questions to ask before booking

Should I try a DIY kit first?

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Resurfacing from £350. We don’t charge extra for travel to Deadwater. The price depends on:

  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • Access to the area

There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

How to get a fixed price

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. It helps if you send:

  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • A wider photo showing the entire suite

Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a photo from further back, send them to us with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price. Quotes are free and no obligation.

Why repair rather than replace?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and doing several items at once reduces it.

Why us?

  • One price list for the entire UK
  • No need to remove anything
  • Colour-matched on site
  • Repair technicians who travel to you, UK-wide

What we do, step by step

Expect a friendly, tidy visit. We agree the arrival time in advance, protect the area, then carry out the work, which generally takes one to two days for a full suite. If we find something your pictures didn’t show, we’ll explain it before carrying on.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. We leave everything to cure, typically until the next day.

Preparing for the visit

  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive

Advice

When we would advise against a repair

Before booking, it’s worth knowing the limits:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.

Common questions in Deadwater

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Yes. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.

Is the work guaranteed?

Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee. We will explain what it covers when we quote.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work and until it has cured. Everywhere else in the home is fine.

Can you repair something that is been repaired before?

Yes, regularly. It can add a little time, which we include in the quote.

Will there be a smell?

Some materials have a smell while they’re applied. It fades as everything cures.

Will it make a mess?

Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and tidy up before we leave.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.

Can you price it without visiting?

Yes, almost always. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed price.
