Coloured bath resurfacing in Deanend, done in place

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. We’re often asked to fix selling or letting a home with an old suite and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white, across avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured basins and whole bathroom suites.

All our work is covered by our one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Wiltshire. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

The process

You don’t need to empty the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and start once you’re happy with the plan. Most jobs take a day or two, depending on how many items, and you can get on with other things while we are there.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Each item is left to cure, normally ready the following day.

How to prepare

  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
  • Make sure the room can be ventilated
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift

DIY repairs versus a professional job

What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

Work for landlords and builders

Hospitality businesses cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Send the address, photos and access details and we’ll arrange it.

Repair or replace in Deanend?

Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not your postcode. You will see the full price before you book, with nothing added on the day.

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. There is no area surcharge for Deanend. The price reflects:

  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • The material
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out

No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

How to get a fixed quote

Photographing the damage takes a minute, and it saves a visit. Please include:

  • Natural light rather than flash
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • A wider photo showing the entire suite

If you are in Deanend and want a price, photos are the quickest way: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. You’ll get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.

What we are called out for in Deanend

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is generally the colour, not the bath.

Look out for these signs:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom

What we cannot put right

Not everything can be repaired, and we’ll tell you before we start. Repairs will not solve:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think before booking.
