Coloured bath resurfacing near Fron

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send photos and you’ll get a fixed figure.

Coloured bath resurfacing in Fron, done in place

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there is no plumbing or tiling. A full suite is usually done in one to two days. We regularly repair coloured shower trays, coloured basins and avocado, pampas and pink baths, and common reasons people contact us are a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom.

You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything is not right, ring us and we will sort it. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

For landlords and businesses

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, putting right damage done during fitting. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in Wrexham and across the UK. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which matters when someone is living in the home.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

What we are called out for in Fron

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.

Look out for any of the following:

  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

What your quote should include

  • How the colour is matched
  • Who will actually do the work
  • How long it needs to cure
  • The length of the guarantee and what it covers

FAQs for Fron

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Landlords are frequently glad to have it sorted before the end of a tenancy.

What about the toilet?

Talk to us first. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we’ll tell you what will last.

Do you cover Fron?

Yes. We work across the UK and come to Fron. Send pictures and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

When can you do it?

Your quote comes with available dates. Tell us if you need it done quickly.

Can a coloured bath be made white?

Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.

Is there a call-out fee?

We do not add a call-out fee. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.

Can pets and children be at home?

Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we are working in. We’ll tell you when the room can be used again.

Do you cover the whole of Wrexham?

We work UK-wide, and that includes Fron. Prices don’t change with location.

The process

We turn up when we said we would, introduces themselves and checks the damage against your photos first. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. Most visits take one to two days for a full suite, and we leave the room as we found it.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Each item is left to cure, normally ready the day after.

Preparing for the visit

  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work

Ask for a price

Send us a photo of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, with your LL11 postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.

Advice

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Resurfacing from £350. A fixed quote means you know the cost before you book. We look at:

  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • The material
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off

There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

How to get a fixed price

When you take your photos, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • The material, if you know it
  • One sharp close-up of the damage

Most clients in Fron get their price from pictures. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

Honest limits

A repair isn’t right for every job, including:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer.
