Need coloured bath resurfacing in Gwespyr?

For landlords and businesses

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Gwespyr as well as homeowners. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it normally costs far less than a refit.

Letting agents often send us photos straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

Coloured bath resurfacing in Gwespyr without replacing anything

A full suite is usually done in one to two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. Our repair technicians work on coloured shower trays, avocado, pampas and pink baths and whole bathroom suites, and people most often call us about a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and selling or letting a home with an old suite.

The work is covered for a year after we finish. Just call us if there’s a problem and we’ll sort it. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

What affects the price in Gwespyr

Resurfacing from £350. Each job gets its own fixed price. These are the things that affect it:

  • What kind of damage it is
  • The material
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off

The price depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.

Send photos for a quote

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. It helps if you send:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • A photo taken from further back

If you’re in Gwespyr and want a price, pictures are the quickest way: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. You will get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.

Common problems we fix in Gwespyr

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.

The things clients generally mention when they call include:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom

What to look for in a quote

  • When it can be used again
  • Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
  • The length of the guarantee and what it covers
  • Whether they match the colour on site

Should I try a DIY kit first?

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

Honest limits

In fairness, some problems need a different fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer before booking.

Surfaces we repair

  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

Should you replace it?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. We don’t add extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

The process

When we visit, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. Expect it to take a day or two, depending on how many items. We tidy up before we leave and let you know when you can use it again.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Each item is left to cure, typically ready the day after.

Preparing for the visit

  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
