Coloured bath resurfacing for Handbridge homes

About our coloured bath resurfacing in Handbridge

A full suite is typically done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there is no plumbing or tiling. We regularly repair whole bathroom suites, coloured basins and avocado, pampas and pink baths, and the jobs we see most are a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and selling or letting a home with an old suite.

Every job is backed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Honest limits

We would rather lose a job than do one that won’t last, so here’s what a repair can’t put right:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.

Materials we work on in Handbridge

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

Should you replace it?

Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Why us?

  • Same prices wherever you are
  • Typically one visit, start to finish
  • Every repair guaranteed for a year
  • We leave the room as we found it

See our prices page or bath cost comparison.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair won’t last.

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

Handbridge questions

Is there a call-out fee?

We don’t add a call-out fee. The fixed quote covers the visit and the work.

Do you hold any accreditations?

Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

Do I have to be there?

Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. After that, you can carry on with your day.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day.

Can you price it without visiting?

Normally, yes. Clear pictures let us give you a fixed price without visiting.

Is a repair better than a new one?

Normally, when the rest is in good condition. A repair avoids removal and making good. We will tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.

Is it messy?

We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and tidy up before we leave.

Do you cover the entire of Flintshire?

All of Flintshire, and the rest of the UK. Travel is included in the price.

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

For landlords and businesses

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We can work around your bookings.

How the visit works

We turn up at the time we agreed with you and checks the damage against your pictures first. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before we open a single tin. Most visits take one to two days for a full suite, and we leave the room as we found it.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Each item is left to cure, normally ready the next day.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area

How to get a price

There’s no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price.

What affects the price in Handbridge

Resurfacing from £350. Prices are worked out job by job, from your photos. The main factors are:

  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • What kind of damage it is
  • How many areas need work
  • What the surface is made of

Instead of hourly rates, we price the entire job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access.

Quotes from your photos

Photographing the damage takes a minute, and it saves a visit. Try to send:

  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • One picture of the whole suite
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection

We price from pictures so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and we’ll come back with a fixed figure.
