FAQs for Jewellery Quarter

Is there a guarantee?

Yes, for a year. If there’s a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

Can you price it without visiting?

Nearly always. If pictures do not show enough, we will ask for another angle.

How soon can you come?

Your quote comes with available dates. If it’s urgent, say so and we’ll do what we can.

Is it messy?

Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and tidy up before we leave.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Get your landlord’s agreement first.

Is repairing better than replacing?

Generally, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.

What if the damage is worse than the photos show?

It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. You decide whether to go ahead.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit. Everywhere else in the home is fine.

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Jewellery Quarter

A full suite is usually done in one to two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there is no plumbing or tiling. If you’re dealing with a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and selling or letting a home with an old suite, we can help, on avocado, pampas and pink baths, whole bathroom suites and coloured shower trays alike.

All our work comes with our one-year guarantee. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Can I fix it myself?

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is typically the cheaper route.

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.

Work for landlords and builders

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which matters when someone is living in the home.

We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Send the address, photos and access details.

The process

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and start once you’re happy with the plan. Most jobs take a day or two, depending on how many items, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. We leave everything to cure, normally until the following day.

Before we arrive

  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Point us to the nearest place to park

Ask for a price

We price from photos so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through.

What a repair cannot fix

To be straight with you, there are a few things a repair will not fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.

  • Coloured basins

  • Whole bathroom suites

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Resurfacing from £350. We do not charge extra for travel to Jewellery Quarter. The price depends on:

  • What kind of damage it is
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • How much damage there is

The price depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

Getting a price from photos

When you take your pictures, these tips help us give you a firm price:

  • The material, if you know it
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Details of any past repairs

The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of photos using our quote form or call us. We will tell you honestly if a repair is the right fix.

Repair or replace in Jewellery Quarter?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white changes the colour without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.

Why Jewellery Quarter clients choose us

  • No need to remove anything
