Bath re-enamelling at your home in London
Re-enamelling gives a worn bath a new glossy surface without a refit. It suits baths that are dull, stained, rough or chipped all over. We are frequently asked to fix staining under the taps and around the waste and a coating lifting around the plughole, in acrylic baths, pressed steel baths and cast iron baths.
A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you are covered after the visit.

How it works
When we visit, we arrive at the time we’ve agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. Expect it to take a full day. We tidy up before we leave and let you know when you can use it again.
- The bathroom is protected and ventilation set up.
- We remove the old silicone and deep clean the bath.
- We repair chips, rust spots and pitting.
- The surface is keyed and primed for the new finish.
- The new finish is sprayed on in several coats and left to cure.
Getting ready for the visit
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
- Make sure the area is dry
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing

Aftercare tips
So the finish stays in good condition:
- Do not let dyes or oils sit on the finish
- Dry the bath after use to stop limescale
- Repair dripping taps early
- Keep toiletries on a shelf rather than in the bath
Wipe the bath dry after use where you can, particularly with hard water, and rinse off any bath products.
The longer worn enamel is left, the rougher it gets, and rust spots spread under the surface. Resurfacing sooner means less repair work first.

FAQs for London
Can you re-enamel a roll-top bath?
Yes, frequently. The inside is resurfaced, and we can refinish the outside as well.
Do you cover the whole of Greater London?
Across the UK, and that includes London. Prices do not change with location.
Can you repair something that’s been repaired before?
Typically, yes. The old repair comes out first, so let us know about it.
Do you need to take the bath out?
No. It’s re-enamelled where it stands, so the tiles and taps stay put.
How long will the bath be out of use?
One day for most baths and can be used the day after. We will confirm timings when we quote.
Will it make a mess?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we’ve finished.
I rent my home. Can I book you?
We are happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Get your landlord’s agreement first.
Is there a guarantee?
Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee. We will explain what it covers when we quote.
Honest limits
Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:
- An acrylic bath that flexes badly underfoot
- A bath split right through the body
- Leaking taps or wastes (a plumber’s job)
If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think before booking.
Materials we repair
- Pressed steel baths
- Cast iron baths
- Victorian roll-tops
- Basins & shower trays
- Acrylic baths
Repair or replace in London?
Getting a cast iron bath out is hard work: it’s very heavy, may need breaking up, and the replacement can be costly. Re-enamelling avoids all of it. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Set against the cost of replacement, a repair is typically a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.

Should I try a DIY kit first?
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
Repairs by material
Roll-top and period baths
We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, with the outside refinished as well.
Cast iron
Re-enamelling suits cast iron baths perfectly. They’re built to last, and only the surface wears, so a new finish makes them look new again.
Landlord and trade work in London
Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.
Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, putting right damage done during fitting. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.
Prices and what affects them
Resurfacing from £350. Prices are worked out job by job, from your photos. The main factors are:
- Whether we combine several jobs
- How many areas need work
- The type of damage
- The material
No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
How to get a fixed quote
You can generally get a fixed quote without us visiting. To help us price it:
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- Natural light rather than flash
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us photos through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the entire bath, we can price the job the same day in most cases.
