Should you replace it?

Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white turns it white without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send pictures and you’ll get a fixed figure.

Why Marden clients choose us

  • Colour mixed on the day to match
  • Generally one visit, start to finish
  • No need to remove anything
  • Fixed prices from your pictures

About our coloured bath resurfacing in Marden

A full suite is typically done in one to two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. We work on avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured basins and whole bathroom suites, and people most frequently call us about selling or letting a home with an old suite and faded or patchy colour.

You are covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

How the visit works

On the day, we arrive at the time we have agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. Expect it to take one to two days for a full suite. We tidy up before we leave and let you know when you can use it again.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Each item is left to cure, generally ready the next day.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before

Advice

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Resurfacing from £350. Every quote is fixed and free. What we look at:

  • The material and finish
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • The type of damage
  • Access to the area

The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed quote from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.

Getting a price from photos

Before you send pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • A wider photo showing the entire suite
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size

Most clients in Marden get their price from photos. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Marden

Hospitality businesses need rooms back in use quickly, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.

Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover, so there’s no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. Several plots can be done in one visit.

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Marden?

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s usually the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Keep an eye out for these signs:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour

Before booking anyone

10 questions to ask before you book

Common questions in Marden

What information do you need?

Send pictures through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787.

Which areas do you work in?

The whole UK, including all of Herefordshire. Just include your postcode and we will offer you dates.

How quickly can you book me in?

Your quote comes with available dates. Tell us if you need it done quickly.

Is there a guarantee?

All our work carries a one-year guarantee. We’ll explain what it covers when we quote.

What about the toilet?

Ask us. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we’ll advise honestly before quoting.

Do you come to Marden?

Yes, we do. We send a technician to Marden for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

Do you do work for letting agents?

We do, regularly. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Yes. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.

Honest limits

In fairness, there are a few things a repair won’t fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly.

What we work on

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites

DIY kit or professional repair?

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
