Coloured bath resurfacing near Mona

Coloured bath resurfacing in Mona, done in place

A full suite is usually done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. We’re often asked to fix selling or letting a home with an old suite and faded or patchy colour, across coloured basins, coloured shower trays and whole bathroom suites.

You are covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we will sort it. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Questions from Mona

Can you do the toilet too?

Ask us. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we’ll tell you what will last.

Do you come to Mona?

We do. Repair technicians travel to Mona from across the region, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

Can you price it without visiting?

Usually, yes. Clear photos let us give you a fixed quote without visiting.

Do I need to be at home?

Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time that suits you.

What does coloured bath resurfacing cost?

Resurfacing from £350. Every job gets a fixed price from your photos. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo with your LL65 postcode.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit normally costs less than separate visits. Include photos of each item.

Can a coloured bath be made white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.

The process

On the day itself, there is little for you to do. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we’ll take it from there. The job generally runs to one to two days for a full suite, tidy-up included.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Each item is left to cure, normally ready the following day.

Before we arrive

  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat

Getting a price

Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the whole item, send them over with your postcode, and you will get a fixed quote back. There is no charge for the quote and you’re under no obligation.

Advice

Repairing versus replacing in Mona

Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white changes the colour without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. A repair typically costs much less than people expect, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send photos and we will give you the exact figure.

What we are called out for in Mona

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s generally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Keep an eye out for these signs:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom

Before you book anyone

  • If travel is included in the price
  • How to care for the finish
  • Whether a trained technician does the job
  • What happens if they find more damage

Our hiring checklist

DIY kit or professional repair?

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is typically cheaper.

Work for landlords and builders

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access and we’ll arrange it.

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in Isle of Anglesey and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. A fixed quote means you know the cost before you book. We take into account:

  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • The material
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off

Instead of hourly rates, we price the whole job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

Getting a price from photos

The better the photos, the more accurate the price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • Something in shot to show the size
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings

Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole suite, we can give you a fixed quote without visiting.

What we can’t put right

It helps to know what we can’t do too:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly.
