Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Mountain Ash

Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. We are often asked to fix selling or letting a home with an old suite and faded or patchy colour, on coloured basins, avocado, pampas and pink baths and whole bathroom suites.

Peace of mind is built in: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we’ll explain exactly what it covers when we quote. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Choosing a repair company

Why repair rather than replace?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. Our prices are the same across the UK, so there is no premium for Mountain Ash. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

What you get with us

  • Work done at your home or business
  • Everything repaired in place
  • Honest advice, even when it means no job
  • Most jobs done in one visit

Take a look at our full price list and resurfacing vs replacement cost guide.

When we’d advise against a repair

In fairness, there are a few things a repair will not fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before you book.

Surfaces we repair

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins

DIY kit or professional repair?

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

How it works

Your technician turns up when we said we would, introduces themselves and looks over the damage before anything else. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. The work itself takes a day or two, depending on how many items, and we leave the room as we found it.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. We leave everything to cure, generally until the next day.

Getting ready for the visit

Related advice

Mountain Ash: your questions answered

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

Can pets and children be at home?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Generally, yes. Tell us what was done before and we will plan for it.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Of course. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.

What about the toilet?

Ask us. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we will advise honestly before quoting.

What happens if you find more damage?

It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. The price only changes if you agree.

Is there a call-out fee?

We don’t add a call-out fee. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.

How do I book?

Just pictures, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, we only need access to the room.

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Resurfacing from £350. Every quote is fixed and free. What we take into account:

  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off

We don’t add extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Getting a price from photos

The better the pictures, the more accurate the price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • Where you are, by postcode
  • A photo taken from further back
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area

For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will send back a fixed quote and some dates.
