Coloured bath resurfacing near Pandy Tudur

Coloured bath resurfacing in Pandy Tudur, done in place

Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. We are often asked to fix selling or letting a home with an old suite and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom, in avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured basins and coloured shower trays.

Peace of mind is built in: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we explain what it covers before booking. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Your questions about coloured bath resurfacing in Pandy Tudur

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit and until it has cured. The rest of the house is unaffected.

Is there a guarantee?

Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee. We’ll explain what it covers when we quote.

Which areas do you work in?

All of Conwy, and the rest of the UK. There is no extra charge for travel.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Usually, if the item is otherwise sound. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. If replacing would be better, we will say so.

Will there be a smell?

Some materials have a smell while they’re applied, which is why we ventilate. It fades as everything cures.

What happens once I’ve sent pictures?

You get a fixed price and available dates. If we need another angle, we’ll ask.

Can you do the toilet too?

Talk to us first. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we’ll tell you what will last.

Can a coloured bath be made white?

Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.

What we’re called out for in Pandy Tudur

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s normally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Typical reasons for a call-out include:

  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

What we can’t put right

Before you book, it’s worth knowing the limits too:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly.

Materials we repair

  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. It depends on the damage, the material and access.

Why book with us

  • Straight answers about what a repair can do
  • One price list for the entire UK
  • A fixed quote before you book
  • We leave the room as we found it

Can I fix it myself?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair won’t last.

How the visit works

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we’ve agreed what we are doing. Most jobs take one to two days for a full suite, and you can get on with other things while we are there.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. We leave everything to cure, usually until the day after.

Preparing for the visit

  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Have a window or extractor fan available

  • The type of damage
  • The material
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • The colour and finish to match

We don’t add extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • One picture of the entire suite
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates

Send us pictures of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, with your LL22 postcode, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.
