Coloured bath resurfacing in Penallt, done in place
Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there is no plumbing or tiling. We work on coloured shower trays, whole bathroom suites and coloured basins, and people most often call us about selling or letting a home with an old suite and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom.
Big or small, you get the same one-year guarantee in Penallt and across Monmouthshire. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

What a repair cannot fix
A repair is not always the answer, and we would rather say so up front. Repairs won’t solve:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.
Materials we work on in Penallt
- Coloured shower trays
- Coloured basins
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
- Whole bathroom suites
Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £350. We do not charge extra for travel to Penallt. The price depends on:
- How easy the damage is to reach
- Unusual colours or finishes
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- What the surface is made of
We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Penallt. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
Send photos for a quote
You can usually get a fixed quote without us visiting. To help us price it:
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- A picture taken from further back
- Where you are, by postcode
No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and you will get a fixed figure back.
Common questions in Penallt
Which areas do you work in?
All of Monmouthshire, and the rest of the UK. There is no extra charge for travel.
Do I have to be there?
Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time we agree with you.
What about the toilet?
Talk to us first. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we’ll advise honestly before quoting.
How do I book?
Some photos, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, we only need access to the room.
Can you turn my avocado bath white?
Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.
Is a repair better than a new one?
Usually, when the rest is in good condition. A repair avoids removal and making good. We will tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.
When can you do it?
We will give you dates with your quote. If it’s urgent, say so and we will do what we can.
Can landlords book you?
We do, regularly. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.
Repair or replace: which is better?
Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. Compared with replacing, a repair is generally a fraction of the price, because there is no removal, plumbing or making good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.
What you get with us

DIY repairs versus a professional job
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is normally the cheaper route.
For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.
The process
The work is clean and fairly quiet. Protection goes down first, then the job itself takes a day or two, depending on how many items. Before we leave, we explain the curing time and the aftercare.
- We protect the room and ventilate it.
- We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
- We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
- Once cured, normally by the next day, the suite is ready.
Preparing for the visit
- Let us know about parking or access
- Ensure the room can be ventilated
- Keep a parking space free if you can
How to get a price
To get a price, send a couple of pictures through our quote form or call us. We’ll say immediately if a repair is the right fix.
