Landlords, agents and businesses in Sea View
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.
Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
Coloured bath resurfacing in Sea View, done in place
We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there is no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. We’re often asked to fix selling or letting a home with an old suite and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom, on coloured shower trays, coloured basins and whole bathroom suites.
A one-year guarantee comes as standard. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Can I fix it myself?
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is typically cheaper.
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
Signs you need coloured bath resurfacing in Sea View
Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s normally the colour that dates them, not the condition.
Keep an eye out for these signs:
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
- Faded or patchy colour
- A suite that does not match a new bathroom
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
Comparing quotes
- How the colour is matched
- Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
- Who turns up on the day
- How your room will be protected
Repair or replace: which is better?
Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. A repair generally costs much less than people expect, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

How we price coloured bath resurfacing
Resurfacing from £350. You will know the full cost before you book. We look at:
- Whether we combine several jobs
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
Getting a price from photos
Two or three clear photos are normally enough. Try to include:
- Any details about the material
- Details of any past repairs
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- Where you are, by postcode
Email us photos of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, with your BH14 postcode, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.
Sea View: your questions answered
What happens once I’ve sent photos?
We review the pictures and send a fixed quote and the next dates we have.
Is there a guarantee?
Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee. We’ll explain what it covers when we quote.
Do you do work for letting agents?
Yes, frequently. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.
What if the damage is worse than the pictures show?
We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.
Do you hold any accreditations?
Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.
Do you come to Sea View?
We do. Technicians travel to Sea View from across the region, with no extra charge for travel.
What about the toilet?
Ask us. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we will tell you what will last.
Is there a call-out fee?
There is no separate call-out charge. Your fixed price includes everything.
What we can’t put right
We’d rather lose a job than do one that won’t last, so here’s what a repair cannot put right:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.
Materials we repair
- Whole bathroom suites
- Coloured shower trays
- Coloured basins
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
What we do, step by step
A typical visit goes like this: we arrive on time, sheet and mask the area around the job, carry out the work and clear up. Plan for one to two days for a full suite from start to finish. Before leaving, we tell you when it can be used and what to avoid for the first few days.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
- We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
- Each item is left to cure, normally ready the next day.
Preparing for the visit
- Open a window if you can
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
How to get a price
If you are in Sea View and want a price, pictures are the quickest way: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. You’ll get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.
