Coloured bath resurfacing in Sheepway, done in place
Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there is no plumbing or tiling. If you are dealing with faded or patchy colour and selling or letting a home with an old suite, we can help, on whole bathroom suites, coloured shower trays and coloured basins alike.
You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Sheepway as everywhere else we work. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Can I fix it myself?
A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.

When to call us in Sheepway
Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s usually the colour that dates them, not the condition.
Keep an eye out for any of the following:
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
- Faded or patchy colour
- A suite that does not match a new bathroom
What your quote should include
- How changes to the job are handled
- How long it needs to cure
- What aftercare is recommended
- The length of the guarantee and what it covers
What happens on the day
It’s a tidy, low-fuss visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, cover and mask the work area, then carry out the work, which normally takes one to two days for a full suite. If anything looks different from your pictures, we’ll talk to you before going ahead.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
- The surface is prepared and primed.
- We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
- Once cured, normally by the next day, the suite is ready.
Preparing for the visit
- Make sure the area is dry
- Clear the area around the damage
- Let us know which floor the room is on

Should you replace it?
Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Compared with replacing, a repair is typically a fraction of the price, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.

Common questions in Sheepway
Do you cover Sheepway?
Yes. We work across the UK and travel to Sheepway and the rest of North Somerset. Send us photos for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Will it make a mess?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we leave the room clean.
What happens if you find more damage?
We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. You won’t be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.
What happens once I’ve sent photos?
You’ll get a fixed quote back, usually with dates to choose from. You are under no obligation.
How do I book?
Some photos, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, access to the room.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
Generally, when the rest is in good condition. A repair avoids removal and making good. We will tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.
Do the materials smell?
Expect a mild smell while we are working.
Can tenants book a repair?
Of course. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.
Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £350. There’s no area surcharge for Sheepway. What changes the price is:
- The material
- How many items we do on one visit
- The size and number of damaged areas
- How easy the damage is to reach
Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
How to get a fixed price
It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Try to send:
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
We price from pictures so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and we will come back with a fixed figure.
When we would advise against a repair
Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.
Materials we repair
- Coloured basins
- Coloured shower trays
- Whole bathroom suites
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
