For landlords and businesses

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Send the address, photos and access details and we will arrange it.

What happens on the day

You don’t need to empty the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and get going once we’ve agreed what we’re doing. Most jobs take one to two days for a full suite, and you’re welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. We leave everything to cure, normally until the next day.

Preparing for the visit

  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Point us to the nearest place to park
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift

Repairing versus replacing in Silver Street

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Silver Street. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Why book with us

  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
  • Straight answers about what a repair can do
  • Every repair guaranteed for a year
  • Generally one visit, start to finish

DIY kit or professional repair?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Resurfacing from £350. We don’t charge extra for travel to Silver Street. The price depends on:

  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • The type of damage
  • How many areas need work

A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send photos and you’ll get a fixed figure.

How to get a fixed price

Good pictures mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • A wider photo showing the entire suite

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the suite, include your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.

When a repair isn’t the answer

A repair isn’t right for every job, for example:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think.
