Coloured bath resurfacing near Tickshill

The process

We work cleanly and quietly, so you can carry on at home. Protection goes down first, then the work takes one to two days for a full suite. Before we leave, we explain the curing time and the aftercare.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Each item is left to cure, typically ready the next day.

How to prepare

  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area

How to get a price

Email us photos of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, and tell us you’re in Tickshill, and we will come back with a fixed quote.

How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Tickshill

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there is no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. If you’re dealing with a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and selling or letting a home with an old suite, we can help, whatever the material.

A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you’re covered after the visit. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Tickshill?

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is typically the colour, not the bath.

These are the problems we are asked about most:

  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom

Questions to ask before booking

  • What aftercare is recommended
  • What prep work is covered
  • What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show
  • How long it needs to cure

Our hiring checklist

What we cannot put right

Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.

What we work on

  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

Work for landlords and builders

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover. Several plots can be done in one visit.

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. There’s no area surcharge for Tickshill. The price reflects:

  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • How many areas need work
  • What the surface is made of
  • The colour and finish to match

The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. You will see the full price before you book, with no extras added later.

Quotes from your photos

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Please include:

  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • A wider photo showing the entire suite
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale

Getting a price is easy: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them over with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price. Quotes are free and you’re under no obligation.

Tickshill questions

Can a coloured bath be made white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

Can you price it without visiting?

In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the photos cannot show what we need.

Is there a call-out fee?

Travel is included in the price, and we charge the same wherever you are.

Are you a vetted contractor?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

Is the work guaranteed?

All our work carries a one-year guarantee. We will explain what it covers when we quote.

What happens if you find more damage?

We’ll show you and explain before doing anything extra. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.

Do you cover Tickshill?

Yes. We cover the whole UK and come to Tickshill and the rest of Gloucestershire. Send pictures and we will quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Should you replace it?

Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Why Tickshill customers choose us

  • Colour-matched on site
  • We’ll tell you if it’s not worth repairing
  • Everything repaired in place
  • No extra charge for your area

See our pricing and bath cost comparison.

Can I fix it myself?

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair won’t last.
