Coloured bath resurfacing in Skelton, done in place
Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. We work on avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured shower trays and whole bathroom suites, and people most often call us about faded or patchy colour and selling or letting a home with an old suite.
Peace of mind is built in: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we’ll explain exactly what it covers when we quote. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Questions from Skelton
Can pets and children be at home?
Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day.
Can you repair several things at once?
Yes, and it’s frequently cheaper. Just add the extra items to your photos and we’ll quote them together.
Can a coloured bath be made white?
Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.
Are you a vetted contractor?
Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.
Is a repair better than a new one?
Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it isn’t worth repairing, we will tell you.
What happens after I send pictures?
You will get a fixed quote back, normally with dates to choose from. There’s no obligation to book.
Can you quote from photos?
Yes, almost always. Clear pictures let us give you a fixed quote without visiting.
Is my repair covered?
Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.
What else we do in Skelton
For landlords and businesses
We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out photos. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
What we can’t put right
It helps to know what we can’t do too:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think before you book.
Surfaces we repair
- Coloured basins
- Whole bathroom suites
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
- Coloured shower trays
Prices and what affects them
Resurfacing from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including Skelton. What changes the price is:
- The material
- Unusual colours or finishes
- How easy the damage is to reach
- How many areas need work
Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
How to get a fixed price
Good photos mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- The material, if you know it
Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can give you a fixed quote without visiting.
Why repair rather than replace?
Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. Compared with replacing, repairing usually costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.
Why us?
- Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
- Nothing taken out or refitted
- Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
- Straight answers about what a repair can do

What we do, step by step
We begin by going over the job with you, so there are no surprises. Then the area is sheeted and masked and the work begins. Allow one to two days for a full suite.
- The room is protected and ventilated.
- Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
- The surface is prepared and primed.
- We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
- Once cured, normally by the next day, the suite is ready.
Getting ready for the visit
- Let us know about parking or access
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
- Point us to the nearest place to park
How to get a price
To get a price, send two or three photos using our quote form or call us. We’ll say right away whether it can be repaired.
Related advice
DIY kit or professional repair?
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.
What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.
Common problems we fix in Skelton
Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is generally the colour, not the bath.
Signs it’s time to call us include:
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
- Faded or patchy colour
- A suite that does not match a new bathroom
