About our coloured bath resurfacing in Southend
A full suite is usually done in one to two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. We regularly repair whole bathroom suites, coloured basins and avocado, pampas and pink baths, and common reasons people get in touch are selling or letting a home with an old suite and faded or patchy colour.
We guarantee the work for a year. If there is a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Should I try a DIY kit first?
For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
What we cannot put right
Before you book, it’s worth knowing the limits too:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think before booking.
What we work on
- Coloured basins
- Coloured shower trays
- Whole bathroom suites
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
How we price coloured bath resurfacing
Prices start from £350. There’s no area surcharge for Southend. What changes the price is:
- Unusual colours or finishes
- How much damage there is
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- The material
A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
Send photos for a quote
Before you send pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:
- A wider photo showing the entire suite
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- What it’s made of, if you know
- Where you are, by postcode
To get a price, send two or three photos through our quote form or ring us. We’ll say right away whether it can be repaired.
Common problems we fix in Southend

Southend: your questions answered
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
Generally, when the rest is in good condition. A repair avoids removal and making good. We will tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.
What happens next?
We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote with dates.
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, so the repair is not disturbed while it cures.
Is it messy?
No. The work area is masked and covered, and we take our waste away with us.
Do you hold any accreditations?
Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.
Do you come to Southend?
Yes, we do. We send a technician to Southend for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.
What about the toilet?
Talk to us first. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we’ll advise honestly before quoting.
Can a coloured bath be made white?
Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

Should you replace it?
Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Our prices are the same across the UK, so there’s no premium for Southend. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

How the visit works
A typical visit goes like this: we arrive at the agreed slot, protect everything around the work area, do the job and clear up. Allow one to two days for a full suite. Before leaving, we tell you how long to leave it and what to avoid for the first few days.
- The room is protected and ventilated.
- We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
- We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
- We leave everything to cure, generally until the day after.
Preparing for the visit
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Let us know about parking or access
