Trusted coloured bath resurfacing in Springwood

About our coloured bath resurfacing in Springwood

Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there is no plumbing or tiling. We regularly repair whole bathroom suites, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured basins, and common reasons people contact us are a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom.

You’re covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we explain what it covers before booking. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s generally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Most people contact us when they notice something like this:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

What your quote should include

  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers
  • How to look after the finish
  • Whether a trained technician does the job
  • What prep work is covered

10 questions to ask before you book

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Resurfacing from £350. We don’t charge extra for travel to Springwood. The price depends on:

  • What the surface is made of
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out

No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Getting a price from pictures

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Please include:

  • A photo taken from further back
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare

Send us pictures of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, with your HD1 postcode, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Springwood

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

For anyone letting property in or around Springwood, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Send pictures for each one and we’ll price them together.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

Repair or replace in Springwood?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed quote from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.

What you get with us

  • Every repair guaranteed for a year
  • A fixed quote before you book
  • No need to remove anything

How the visit works

On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Let us in and show us the room, and we will get on with it. The job generally runs to a day or two, depending on how many items, including clearing up.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Each item is left to cure, usually ready the following day.

Preparing for the visit

  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
  • Point us to the nearest place to park

Getting a price

For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will send back a fixed quote and some dates.

When a repair is not the answer

We won’t take on work that won’t last, so here’s what a repair can’t put right:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.
