Bath repair at your home in HD1
A damaged bath doesn’t have to mean a new bathroom. Our technicians fill, shape and refinish the damage, with the colour mixed on site. Common call-outs are for snagging damage from a refit and chips along the edge of the bath, across roll-top & freestanding, acrylic and cast iron enamel.
On the day, we arrive at the time we’ve agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. Expect it to take a few hours. We clean up when we are done and let you know when you can use it again.
- We start by looking at the damage and confirming the plan with you.
- Loose enamel, rust and dirt are removed so the repair can bond.
- The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
- The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
- Finally, it’s polished to match the shine and left to cure.
Pricing in HD1
Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.
Why book with us

- No extra charge for your area

Landlords, agents and businesses in HD1
Hospitality businesses cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.
Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover so nothing needs replacing. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is typically the cheaper route.
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.
Looking after it afterwards
Most damage we see is avoidable. A few tips:
- Clean with warm water and a mild detergent
- Put a towel in the bath if you’re working above it
- Keep metal cans and razors off the surface
- Fix dripping taps early to stop staining and limescale
Leave the repair to cure for as long as we say before using the bath. After that, gentle cleaning keeps it looking good.
Until we visit, a strip of waterproof tape over the damage helps, so water cannot get in. Take it off before we arrive.
Repair or replace?
Swapping a damaged bath for a new one normally means a plumber, removing the old bath, re-tiling and a new panel and getting rid of the old bath. A repair deals only with the damage in one visit.
Questions to ask before booking
- Whether a trained technician does the job
- How long the guarantee is and what it covers
- Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
- Whether they match the colour on site
What a repair can’t fix
A repair isn’t always the answer, and we would rather say so up front. Repairs will not solve:
- Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
- A steel bath rusted through
- A whole bath that’s dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
HD1 questions
Will I be able to see the repair?
The goal is a repair that blends in. The rest of the bath’s condition makes a difference, and we will tell you what to expect.
Can you redo an old repair?
Yes. We remove the old filler and start again. Tell us about it when you send photos.
Do you hold any accreditations?
Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.
Does someone need to be in?
Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time that suits you.
Can you repair something that’s been repaired before?
Generally, yes. We remove the old repair before doing a new one, so let us know about it.
Can you price it without visiting?
In nearly every case. If pictures do not show enough, we will ask for another angle.
Can you repair a hole in a bath?
Typically. Send us a photo of the hole and one from under the bath if you can.
