Coloured bath resurfacing near The Chart

When a repair is not the answer

Not everything can be repaired, and we will tell you before we start. We cannot fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think before you book.

Surfaces we repair

  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

Coloured bath resurfacing in The Chart without replacing anything

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. Common call-outs are for faded or patchy colour and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white, on avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured shower trays and whole bathroom suites.

A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you’re not left on your own once we have gone. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Landlord and trade work in The Chart

For anyone letting property in or around The Chart, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Just send photos for each address and we’ll come back with a combined price.

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in The Chart as well as householders. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it costs much less than replacing.

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Resurfacing from £350. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price is based on:

  • The material and finish
  • The colour and finish to match
  • What kind of damage it is
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off

We charge the same wherever you are, so there is no premium for The Chart. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Quotes from your photos

Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • A picture taken from further back
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • Any details about the material

A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the whole suite, include your postcode and send them over. You’ll get a fixed quote, not an estimate.

Repair or replace in The Chart?

Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. The price depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed quote from your pictures, so you know the cost before booking.

Why The Chart clients choose us

  • We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing
  • No extra charge for your area
  • Typically one visit, start to finish
  • Every repair guaranteed for a year

Should I try a DIY kit first?

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is usually the cheaper route.

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in The Chart?

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is normally the colour, not the bath.

The things customers typically mention when they call are:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

Questions to ask before booking

  • The length of the guarantee and what it covers
  • What happens if the damage is worse than the pictures show
  • Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
  • If travel is included in the price

10 questions to ask before booking

How it works

Expect a friendly, tidy visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, cover and mask the work area, and get on with the job, which normally takes a day or two, depending on how many items. If we find something your photos didn’t show, we’ll explain it before carrying on.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Each item is left to cure, normally ready the following day.

How to prepare

  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Point us to the nearest place to park
