Coloured bath resurfacing in The Common, done in place
A full suite is typically done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. We regularly repair avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured basins and whole bathroom suites, and the jobs we see most are a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and faded or patchy colour.
We guarantee the work for a year. If there is a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Landlord and trade work in The Common
Hospitality businesses can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We will fit around changeovers where we can.
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access and we’ll handle the rest.
Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including The Common. What changes the price is:
- How easy the damage is to reach
- How many areas need work
- What the surface is made of
- How many items we do on one visit
Our prices are the same across the UK, so there is no premium for The Common. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
How to get a fixed price
Before you send photos, a few simple things make all the difference:
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- A wider photo showing the entire suite
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- Natural light rather than flash
For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.
Should you replace it?
Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send photos and we will give you the exact figure.

How it works
Your technician turns up when we said we would and checks the damage against your photos first. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before we open a single tin. The work itself takes one to two days for a full suite, and we leave the room as we found it.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
- The surface is prepared and primed.
- The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
- Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.
Preparing for the visit
- Clear the area around the damage
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
- Ensure the area is dry

Your questions about coloured bath resurfacing in The Common
Can I get a quote without a visit?
In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures can’t show what we need.
Will there be a smell?
A little, depending on the job. Open windows and an extractor fan help, and it soon fades.
Are there extra charges for The Common?
There’s no separate call-out charge. Your fixed quote includes everything.
Can you turn my avocado bath white?
Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.
Can tenants book a repair?
Yes. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.
Is repairing better than replacing?
Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We will be honest if it’s not worth it.
Do I need to be at home?
Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time that suits you.
Do you work in The Common?
Yes, we do. We send a technician to The Common for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

What a repair can’t fix
Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair will not do:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer before you book.
Materials we repair
- Coloured basins
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths

DIY kit or professional repair?
For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
About our accreditations · Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee.
