Coloured bath resurfacing in Thornes, done in place
Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there is no plumbing or tiling. Typical jobs include a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and selling or letting a home with an old suite, across coloured shower trays, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured basins.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. If anything is not right, ring us and we will sort it. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Can I fix it myself?
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

What affects the price in Thornes
Prices start from £350. A fixed quote means you know the cost before you book. We take into account:
- The material and finish
- Doing more than one item at once
- Access to the area
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
We charge the same wherever you are, so there is no premium for Thornes. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
How to get a fixed price
Phone photos are fine, there is no need for anything special. Just make sure we can see:
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- Any details about the material
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- A photo taken from further back
Upload a photo of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, and tell us you’re in Thornes, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.
Why repair rather than replace?
Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. A repair normally costs much less than people expect, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send pictures and we’ll give you the exact figure.
What you get with us
- Colour-matched on site
- Everything repaired in place
- Every repair guaranteed for a year
- Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
See our prices page and guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.
What we do, step by step
A typical visit goes like this: we arrive on time, sheet and mask the area around the job, carry out the work and tidy away. Allow a day or two, depending on how many items from start to finish. Before we go, we’ll explain when it can be used and how to look after it.
- The room is protected and ventilated.
- Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
- Once cured, normally by the next day, the suite is ready.
Preparing for the visit
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
- Keep a parking space free if you can
- Clear the area around the damage
Ask for a price
You don’t need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.
Advice
When we would advise against a repair
We’d rather lose a job than do one that won’t last, so these are the limits:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think before you book.
What we work on
- Coloured basins
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
- Coloured shower trays
- Whole bathroom suites
