Coloured bath resurfacing for Wervin homes

How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Wervin

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. A full suite is usually done in one to two days. Whether it’s a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and selling or letting a home with an old suite, we can generally put it right.

A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you’re covered after the visit. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Common questions in Wervin

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

We do, regularly. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.

Can you do the toilet too?

Ask us. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we will tell you what will last.

Do you hold any accreditations?

Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Of course. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.

Will there be a smell?

There may be a mild smell during the work, which fades afterwards.

Do you work in Wervin?

Yes, we do. Repair technicians travel to Wervin from across the region, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

Which areas do you work in?

The whole UK, including all of Cheshire West and Chester. Just include your postcode and we will confirm dates.

Can you price it without visiting?

Nearly always. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures can’t show what we need.

Common problems we fix in Wervin

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is normally the colour, not the bath.

It’s worth getting a quote if you see:

  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we look at:

  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • What kind of damage it is
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • How much damage there is

What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.

Quotes from your pictures

When you take your pictures, these tips help us give you a firm price:

  • The material, if you know it
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • A wider photo showing the entire suite

To get a price, send a couple of pictures through our quote form or ring us. We’ll say straight away whether it can be repaired.

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white changes the colour with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Compared with replacing, a repair is normally a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.

What you get with us

  • Honest advice, even when it means no job
  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited

For landlords and businesses

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.

When we’d advise against a repair

It helps to know what we cannot do too:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think before you book.

What we work on

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins

How the visit works

Once we are through the door, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. We mask off everything nearby, the work takes one to two days for a full suite, depending on what we find, and we finish by cleaning up and talking you through the result.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Each item is left to cure, usually ready the following day.

How to prepare

  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Let us know about parking or access
  • Clear the area around the damage

Ask for a price

Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them over with your postcode, and you will get a fixed quote back. Quotes are free and you’re under no obligation.

Advice

Can I fix it myself?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
