Wood floor repair at your home in Aston
We repair damaged boards in place, with the colour and grain matched by hand. Laminate swollen by water can’t be repaired, and we’ll tell you if that’s the case. We are often asked to fix chipped board edges and gouges from moving appliances, in wood-effect vinyl (ask us), engineered wood and solid wood.
You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Aston as everywhere else we work. Put felt pads on furniture legs and wipe up spills promptly.

Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £95. Each job gets its own fixed quote. This is what makes a difference:
- How easy the damage is to reach
- The size and number of damaged areas
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- The colour and finish to match
The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. You will see the full price before booking.
Quotes from your photos
It only takes a minute to photograph the damage, and it saves a visit. Try to send:
- Details of any past repairs
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
Upload a photo of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, with your RG9 postcode, and we will come back with a fixed quote.

How it works
We begin by going over the job with you, so you know exactly what we’re doing. Then the area is sheeted and masked and the work begins. Allow a few hours, and we’ll tell you if anything changes.
- First the damaged area is cleaned.
- Dents, chips and gouges are filled.
- We level the repair to the board surface.
- We recreate the colour and grain by hand.
- We finish the repair to match the sheen of the floor.
Getting ready for the visit
- Let us know about parking or access
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
Ask for a price
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the floor, add your postcode and send them over. You will get a fixed price, not an estimate.

Repair or replace: which is better?
Replacing a board can mean lifting the floor back to it, finding a board that matches and relaying. A repair leaves the floor down. Our wood floor repair starts from £95. Instead of hourly rates, we price the entire job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and doing several items at once reduces it.
What you get with us
- Straight answers about what a repair can do
- Same prices wherever you are
- Colour mixed on the day to match
- Every repair guaranteed for a year

Should I try a DIY kit first?
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair won’t last.
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.
For landlords and businesses
We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
For anyone letting property in or around Aston, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Send photos for each one and we will price them together.
