About our kitchen sink repair in Cambridge

Doors with a large area of lifted vinyl normally need re-wrapping or replacing; we fix chips, dents and local damage. Repairs are matched to the original finish, so the kitchen stays as it is. We regularly repair vinyl-wrapped doors, ceramic Belfast & butler sinks and composite sinks, and people most often call us about damage from fitting or moving appliances and chipped door and drawer edges.

The work is covered for a year after we finish. If anything is not right, ring us and we’ll come back. A sink mat protects against dropped pans, and wipe door edges dry.

Repair or replace in Cambridge?

A new sink or door may mean disturbing the worktop and plumbing, or hunting for a door that’s no longer made. Repairing it keeps your kitchen as it is. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. Rather than charging by the hour, we fix the price before we start. It depends on the damage, the material and access.

Why us?

  • Most jobs done in one visit
  • Colour-matched on site
  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK
  • A year’s guarantee on all work

Honest limits

We won’t take on work that won’t last, so these are the limits:

  • Doors where the vinyl wrap has lifted across a large area
  • Doors swollen by water
  • Sinks cracked through the base

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.

What we work on

  • Gloss and matt cupboard doors
  • Ceramic Belfast & butler sinks
  • Composite sinks
  • Cabinet ends & plinths
  • Vinyl-wrapped doors

DIY kit or professional repair?

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair will not last.

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

What we are called out for in Cambridge

  • How the room is protected while they work

Our hiring checklist

How we price kitchen sink repair

Repairs from £95. There is no charge for travel to Cambridge. The price depends on:

  • How hard the colour is to match
  • The material
  • The type of damage
  • How many areas need work

Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

How to get a fixed price

We price nearly every job from pictures. This is what to send:

  • One picture of the entire sink or cupboard door
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare

The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of photos using our quote form or call us. We will tell you honestly if a repair is the right fix.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Cambridge

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access and we will arrange it.

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover. Several plots can be done in one visit.

How it works

The work is clean and fairly quiet. Protection goes down first, then the work takes a few hours. At the end we talk you through the curing time and the aftercare.

  1. First the damaged area is cleaned and prepared.
  2. Next we fill the chips and rebuild any edges.
  3. The repair is sanded to the original profile.
  4. We match the colour to the glaze or door.
  5. We polish or seal the repair.

How to prepare

  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Let us know which floor the room is on

Ask for a price

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the sink or cupboard door, add your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.
