Non-slip bath coating in Beam Park

About our non-slip bath coating in Beam Park

It’s a clear, textured coating, so the bath looks much the same. It suits older people, families and holiday lets. We are frequently asked to fix a bath or tray that is slippery when wet and safety for older or less mobile people, on resurfaced baths, acrylic baths and shower trays.

All our work is covered by a one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Greater London. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Don’t use abrasive pads on the textured area.

For landlords and businesses

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in Greater London and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.

Repair or replace in Beam Park?

Instead, you could go for a new textured bath or tray, or a bath mat, which traps water and needs cleaning. A coating adds grip to the bath you have. Our prices are the same across the UK, so there’s no premium for Beam Park. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Beam Park questions

Are there extra charges for Beam Park?

We don’t add a call-out fee. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.

Will the price change on the day?

It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. You decide whether to go ahead.

Can you price it without visiting?

Usually, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed quote.

Will a non-slip coating change how my bath looks?

Very little: it shows as a matt area where you stand.

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes, frequently. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.

Is my repair covered?

All our work carries a one-year guarantee. We will explain what it covers when we quote.

Are you accredited?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

Which areas do you work in?

The whole UK, including all of Greater London. Send your postcode with your photos and we’ll confirm dates.

What happens on the day

Your technician turns up when we said we would and checks the damage against your photos first. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. The work itself takes a morning or an afternoon, and we leave the room as we found it.

  1. First the standing area is cleaned and degreased.
  2. The area to be treated is masked out.
  3. The clear textured coating is applied.
  4. The masking comes off to leave a neat edge.
  5. The coating is left to cure before use, normally overnight.

How to prepare

  • Ensure the room can be ventilated
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings

Advice

DIY kit or professional repair?

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

When we’d advise against a repair

A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer.

What we work on

  • Enamelled baths
  • Shower trays
  • Wet room floors (ask us)
  • Resurfaced baths
  • Acrylic baths

What non-slip bath coating costs

Each job gets its own fixed price. This is what makes a difference:

  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • The type of damage
  • How much damage there is
  • How many items we do on one visit

There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

How to get a fixed quote

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Please include:

  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Details of any past repairs
  • Any details about the material

Most clients in Beam Park get their price from photos. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.
