Non-Slip Bath Coating in Botany
Fixed-price non-slip bath coating in Botany and the surrounding area, usually in one visit.
- Bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten
- Safety for older or less mobile people
- A bath or tray that is slippery when wet

Non-slip bath coating at your home in Botany
It suits homes with older or less mobile people, holiday lets and families. The coating is clear and textured, so it shows only as a slightly matt area where you stand. We regularly repair shower trays, resurfaced baths and wet room floors (ask us), and common reasons people contact us are resurfaced baths that are now too smooth and worn-out textured areas.
All our work is covered by our one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Glasgow. Clean with a soft brush and a mild cleaner. Don’t use abrasive pads on the textured area.

Should I try a DIY kit first?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
FAQs for Botany
Do you charge for travel?
Travel is included in the price, and we charge the same wherever you are.
Do you come to Botany?
We do. We send a technician to Botany for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.
Is a non-slip bath easy to clean?
Yes. A soft brush and mild cleaner is all it needs.
Can I add another job to the visit?
Yes, and it’s frequently cheaper. Send pictures of everything together and we will quote them together.
Will it make a mess?
We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and we clean up when we have finished.
Is there any odour?
There can be some smell while we work, which is why we ventilate. It fades as everything cures.
What happens after I send photos?
We come back with a fixed quote, plus dates. There is no obligation to book.
Can you price it without visiting?
In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures cannot show what we need.

Should you replace it?
The alternatives are a new textured bath or tray, or relying on a mat that needs lifting and cleaning. A coating treats your existing bath or tray. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed quote from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

What we do, step by step
When we visit, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. The job generally takes a few hours. We tidy up before we leave and let you know when you can use it again.
- We clean and degrease the standing area.
- The area to be treated is masked out.
- We put on the clear non-slip coating.
- We lift the masking for a clean edge.
- We leave it to cure, typically overnight.
How to prepare
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Let us know about parking or access
Getting a price
You don’t need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price.
Related advice
What affects the price in Botany
We don’t charge extra for travel to Botany. The price comes down to:
- The material
- Whether we combine several jobs
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- The size and number of damaged areas
Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
Getting a price from photos
You can usually get a fixed price without us visiting. To help us price it:
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- Where you are, by postcode
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the whole bath or shower tray, add your postcode and send them over. You will get a fixed quote, not an estimate.
When we would advise against a repair
To be straight with you, there are a few things a repair won’t fix:
- Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
- Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
- Outdoor surfaces
Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer before booking.
What we work on
- Wet room floors (ask us)
- Resurfaced baths
- Shower trays
- Enamelled baths
- Acrylic baths
Common problems we fix in Botany
Smooth surfaces are easy to clean, yet wet, soapy surfaces are slippery. The textured patch on an older bath also wears down over time.
People normally call us when they notice something like this:
- Worn-out textured areas
- Resurfaced baths that are now too smooth
- A bath or tray that is slippery when wet
- Safety for older or less mobile people
Questions to ask before booking
- Whether a trained technician does the job
- A fixed price, and whether VAT is included
- How long it needs to cure
- What happens if they find more damage
Work for landlords and builders
Hospitality businesses need rooms back in use quickly, so we keep visits short and tidy. We can work around your bookings.
Letting agents frequently send us photos straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.
