Non-Slip Bath Coating for Bugle homes
Our technicians come to Bugle for clear non-slip coatings for baths and shower trays. Everything is done in place, and the work is guaranteed.
- A bath or tray that is slippery when wet
- Safety for older or less mobile people
- Worn-out textured areas

Non-slip bath coating at your home in Bugle
It’s a clear, textured coating, so it shows only as a slightly matt area where you stand. It’s popular with homes with older or less mobile people, holiday lets and families. We’re frequently asked to fix worn-out textured areas and bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten, on enamelled baths, acrylic baths and resurfaced baths.
A one-year guarantee comes as standard. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Do not use abrasive pads on the textured area.

For landlords and businesses
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which is easier on the people living there.
We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, putting right damage done during fitting. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.
Why repair rather than replace?
Instead, you could go for a new textured bath or tray, or relying on a mat that needs lifting and cleaning. A coating treats your existing bath or tray. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Prices and what affects them
Each job gets its own fixed quote. These are the things that affect it:
- Unusual colours or finishes
- How easy the damage is to reach
- How much damage there is
- What kind of damage it is
We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
Getting a price from photos
Two or three clear pictures are normally enough. Try to include:
- Any details about the material
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- A photo taken from further back
If you are in Bugle and want a price, pictures are the quickest way: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. You will get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.
When a repair isn’t the answer
To be straight with you, there are a few things a repair won’t fix:
- Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
- Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
- Outdoor surfaces
Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.
Materials we repair
- Resurfaced baths
- Wet room floors (ask us)
- Enamelled baths
- Acrylic baths
- Shower trays
DIY kit or professional repair?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.
Bugle: your questions answered
How quickly can you book me in?
It depends on the time of year and where you are. We will offer you dates when we send your quote.
Will there be a smell?
There can be some smell while we work, so we ventilate the room. It fades as everything cures.
How do I clean it?
Yes. Use a soft brush and a mild cleaner.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
Of course. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
Most of the time. Let us know what was used before.
Do you do work for letting agents?
Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as householders.
Is it messy?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and tidy up before we leave.
Can I add another job to the visit?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include photos of each item.
Common problems we fix in Bugle
Smooth surfaces are easy to clean, yet with soap and water on them they become slippery. The textured patch on an older bath also wears down over time.
If you can see any of these, send us a photo:
- Worn-out textured areas
- Safety for older or less mobile people
- Bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten
- Resurfaced baths that are now too smooth
Questions to ask before you book
- If travel is included in the price
- What preparation is included
- Aftercare advice
- How your room will be protected
How the visit works
When we visit, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. The job usually takes a morning or an afternoon. We tidy up before we leave and let you know when you can use it again.
- We start by degreasing the area where you stand.
- Next we mask off the area.
- We put on the clear non-slip coating.
- The masking comes off to leave a neat edge.
- We leave it to cure, normally overnight.
Before we arrive
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
