Need non-slip bath coating in Caeathro?

Non-slip bath coating at your home in Caeathro

It’s popular with homes with older or less mobile people, holiday lets and families. The coating is clear and textured, so it shows only as a slightly matt area where you stand. Our technicians work on wet room floors (ask us), acrylic baths and enamelled baths, and people most often call us about worn-out textured areas and safety for older or less mobile people.

You’re covered after we leave: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Do not use abrasive pads on the textured area.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Caeathro

We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Send the address, photos and access details and we’ll arrange it.

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

How we price non-slip bath coating

We do not charge extra for travel to Caeathro. The price depends on:

  • The material
  • Access to the area
  • The colour and finish to match
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first

Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

Quotes from your photos

Photographing the damage takes a minute, and it saves a visit. Try to send:

  • One picture of the whole bath or shower tray
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings

A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the entire bath or shower tray, add your postcode and send them to us. You’ll get a fixed quote, not an estimate.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

When to call us in Caeathro

Baths and trays are made smooth so they’re easy to clean, yet with soap and water on them they become slippery. Textured areas on older baths wear smooth too.

The things clients normally mention when they call are:

  • Resurfaced baths that are now too smooth
  • Bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten
  • Safety for older or less mobile people
  • Worn-out textured areas

Choosing a repair company

When a repair is not the answer

Some jobs are not right for a repair, including:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly.

Caeathro: your questions answered

How do I clean it?

Yes. Use a soft brush and a mild cleaner.

How do I book?

Send photos through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787.

Is there a guarantee?

Yes: twelve months. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

Do you cover the entire of Gwynedd?

The entire UK, including all of Gwynedd. Just include your postcode and we will offer you dates.

Will the price change on the day?

It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. You decide whether to go ahead.

Is it messy?

Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and tidy up before we leave.

Will a non-slip coating change how my bath looks?

Very little: it shows as a matt area where you stand.

Do I have to be there?

Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time we agree with you.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Instead, you could go for replacing the bath or tray with a textured one, or relying on a mat, which traps water and needs cleaning. A non-slip coating treats your existing bath or tray. Compared with replacing, repairing usually costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.

What you get with us

  • One visit for most repairs
  • Honest advice, even when it means no job
  • No extra charge for your area
  • Repair technicians who travel to you, UK-wide

See our prices page.

The process

Once we are through the door, we keep the work contained to the one room. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the work takes a few hours, and we finish by cleaning up and talking you through the result.

  1. First the standing area is cleaned and degreased.
  2. We mask out the area to be treated.
  3. We put on the clear non-slip coating.
  4. We remove the masking for a neat edge.
  5. Once it has cured, normally overnight, it’s ready.

Before we arrive

  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area

How to get a price

No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through.
