Non-slip bath coating for Caerleon homes

About our non-slip bath coating in Caerleon

It’s popular with older people, families and holiday lets. It’s a clear, textured coating, so it shows only as a slightly matt area where you stand. We regularly repair acrylic baths, enamelled baths and wet room floors (ask us), and people most frequently call us about worn-out textured areas and resurfaced baths that are now too smooth.

You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Caerleon as everywhere else we work. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Avoid scourers on the coating.

When we would advise against a repair

We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair won’t do:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think before booking.

What we work on

  • Resurfaced baths
  • Enamelled baths
  • Acrylic baths
  • Wet room floors (ask us)
  • Shower trays

How it works

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we have agreed what we’re doing. It generally takes a few hours, and you’re welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. First the standing area is cleaned and degreased.
  2. Next we mask off the area.
  3. The clear textured coating is applied.
  4. We lift the masking for a clean edge.
  5. Once it has cured, normally overnight, it’s ready.

Before we arrive

  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area

For landlords and businesses

Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. We can visit several plots in one trip.

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in Newport and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

Your questions about non-slip bath coating in Caerleon

Can landlords book you?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as householders in Caerleon.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Of course, and it usually saves money. Just add the extra items to your photos and you will get one combined price.

Is a non-slip bath easy to clean?

Yes. A soft brush and mild cleaner is all it needs.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

We are happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Just ensure the landlord agrees.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Generally, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.

Will I see the coating?

Very little: the treated area looks slightly matt.

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.

Is my repair covered?

Yes: twelve months. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

What affects the price in Caerleon

Each job gets its own fixed price. This is what makes a difference:

  • Doing more than one item at once
  • The type of damage
  • The material
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it

We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Caerleon. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Send pictures for a quote

We price nearly every job from pictures. This is what to send:

  • One picture of the whole bath or shower tray
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • Any details about the material

Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them over with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price. There is no charge for the quote and you’re under no obligation.

Should you replace it?

The alternatives are a new textured bath or tray, or relying on a mat that needs lifting and cleaning. A non-slip coating treats your existing bath or tray. The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before booking, with nothing added on the day.

What you get with us

  • One price list for the whole UK
  • Free fixed quotes from pictures

10 questions to ask before you book

Can I fix it myself?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair will not last.

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
