What non-slip bath coating costs

There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price is based on:

  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • The colour and finish to match

We do not add extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Getting a price from photos

Most quotes are done from photos alone. To make it quick:

  • The material, if you know it
  • One picture of the entire bath or shower tray
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Something in shot to show the size

Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the whole item, send them to us with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote. There’s no charge for the quote and no obligation.

Non-slip bath coating at your home in Coxwold

It’s a clear, textured coating, so the bath looks much the same. It’s popular with older people, families and holiday lets. Whether it’s resurfaced baths that are now too smooth and safety for older or less mobile people, we can help, on wet room floors (ask us), enamelled baths and shower trays alike.

We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Don’t use abrasive pads on the textured area.

Your questions about non-slip bath coating in Coxwold

Are there extra charges for Coxwold?

There’s no separate call-out charge. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.

Is a repair better than a new one?

Generally, if the item is otherwise sound. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes. We carry out repairs for householders, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses across North Yorkshire.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Yes, almost always. Clear photos let us give you a fixed quote without visiting.

Do you cover Coxwold?

Yes. We cover the whole UK and travel to Coxwold and the rest of North Yorkshire. Send photos and we will quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Can you repair something that is been repaired before?

Generally, yes. Tell us what was done before.

What if the damage is worse than the pictures show?

We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. You won’t be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit. The rest of the house is unaffected.

Should you replace it?

Instead, you could go for replacing the bath or tray with a textured one, or a bath mat, which traps water and needs cleaning. A non-slip coating treats your existing bath or tray. Instead of hourly rates, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

What you get with us

The process

We turn up when we said we would, introduces themselves and checks the damage against your pictures first. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. The work itself takes a few hours, and the room is left clean and tidy.

  1. We start by degreasing the area where you stand.
  2. The area to be treated is masked out.
  3. We apply the clear textured coating.
  4. The masking comes off to leave a neat edge.
  5. We leave it to cure, usually overnight.

How to prepare

  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat

Getting a price

No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and you will get a fixed figure back.

DIY kit or professional repair?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is normally cheaper.

When we would advise against a repair

It helps to know what we can’t do too:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces
