What non-slip bath coating costs

You won’t pay by the hour. The price depends on:

  • The type of damage
  • The material
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • The size and number of damaged areas

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Quotes from your photos

You can take the photos on your phone. Just ensure we can see:

  • Something in shot to show the size
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • The material, if you know it
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection

For most jobs, pictures are all we need to give you a price. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.

Non-slip bath coating in Georgetown without replacing anything

It’s popular with homes with older or less mobile people, holiday lets and families. The coating is clear and textured, so the bath looks much the same. We are often asked to fix worn-out textured areas and a bath or tray that is slippery when wet, across acrylic baths, wet room floors (ask us) and shower trays.

You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. Just call us if there is a problem and we’ll sort it. Clean with a soft brush and a mild cleaner. Avoid scourers on the coating.

Should you replace it?

Instead, you could go for replacing the bath or tray with a textured one, or a bath mat that needs lifting and cleaning. A non-slip coating adds grip to the bath you have. We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Georgetown. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Why us?

  • No extra charge for your area
  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
  • One-year guarantee on every repair
  • One visit for most repairs

What a repair can’t fix

We won’t take on work that won’t last, so these are the limits:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.

Materials we repair

  • Acrylic baths
  • Wet room floors (ask us)
  • Shower trays
  • Enamelled baths
  • Resurfaced baths

What we do, step by step

We begin by going over the job with you, so you know exactly what we are doing. After that, protection goes down around the work area and the work begins. It normally takes a few hours.

  1. First the standing area is cleaned and degreased.
  2. We mask out the area to be treated.
  3. We put on the clear non-slip coating.
  4. We remove the masking for a neat edge.
  5. We leave it to cure, generally overnight.

How to prepare

  • Ensure the area is dry
  • Make sure the room can be ventilated
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings

Questions from Georgetown

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes, and it’s often cheaper. Send pictures of everything together and you will get one combined price.

Are there extra charges for Georgetown?

There’s no separate call-out charge. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.

Do you cover Georgetown?

Yes, we do. Technicians travel to Georgetown from across the region, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.

What if the damage is worse than the photos show?

If we find something the photos didn’t show, we explain it first. You decide whether to go ahead.

What areas do you cover?

Across the UK, and that includes Georgetown. Prices don’t change with location.

Will there be a smell?

Expect a mild smell while we’re working, which fades afterwards.

What information do you need?

Send pictures through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787.

DIY kit or professional repair?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

Common problems we fix in Georgetown

Smooth surfaces are easy to clean, but with soap and water on them they become slippery. The textured patch on an older bath also wears down over time.

Clients usually contact us about:

  • A bath or tray that is slippery when wet
  • Bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten
  • Worn-out textured areas
  • Safety for older or less mobile people
