Need non-slip bath coating in Hordle?

Non-slip bath coating in Hordle without replacing anything

The coating is clear and textured, so the bath looks much the same. It suits homes with older or less mobile people, holiday lets and families. Whether it’s worn-out textured areas and safety for older or less mobile people, we can generally put it right, on enamelled baths, shower trays and wet room floors (ask us) alike.

We guarantee the work for a year. If something is not right in that time, we come back and put it right. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Do not use abrasive pads on the textured area.

FAQs for Hordle

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as householders in Hordle.

What if the damage is worse than the photos show?

The price is fixed for what the pictures show. If there is more, we’ll tell you before starting.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day.

Do you come to Hordle?

Yes. We work across the UK and come to Hordle. Send photos and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

How do I clean it?

Yes. A soft brush and mild cleaner is all it needs.

Is the work guaranteed?

All our work carries a one-year guarantee. We’ll explain what it covers when we quote.

Are you accredited?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Most of the time. Tell us what was done before and we will plan for it.

What we cannot put right

Not everything can be repaired, and we’d rather say so up front. Repairs won’t solve:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.

What we work on

  • Shower trays
  • Acrylic baths
  • Resurfaced baths
  • Enamelled baths
  • Wet room floors (ask us)

Should I try a DIY kit first?

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

For landlords and businesses

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Hordle use us as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it costs much less than replacing.

How the visit works

Once we are through the door, we keep the work contained to the one room. We mask off everything nearby, the job takes a few hours, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.

  1. We clean and degrease the standing area.
  2. The area to be treated is masked out.
  3. We apply the clear textured coating.
  4. We lift the masking for a clean edge.
  5. We leave it to cure, normally overnight.

How to prepare

  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
  • Have a window or extractor fan available

What affects the price in Hordle

There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price depends on:

  • The type of damage
  • How many areas need work
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off

We do not add extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

How to get a fixed price

We price nearly every job from pictures. This is what to send:

  • A photo taken from further back
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before

We price from pictures so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and we’ll come back with a fixed figure.

What we’re called out for in Hordle

Baths and trays are made smooth so they’re easy to clean, yet wet, soapy surfaces are slippery. Textured areas on older baths wear smooth too.

Keep an eye out for these signs:

  • Bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten
  • Safety for older or less mobile people
  • Worn-out textured areas
  • Resurfaced baths that are now too smooth

What to look for in a quote

  • What aftercare is recommended
  • The length of the guarantee and what it covers
  • Whether the price covers travel
  • Whether they match the colour on site

Our hiring checklist

Repair or replace: which is better?

Instead, you could go for a new textured bath or tray, or a bath mat that needs lifting and cleaning. A coating treats your existing bath or tray. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.
